Overpriced hotel in West Perth

We picked this hotel for our one night stay in Perth. It was on the lower end in terms of price for accommodation in Perth, but it was quite disappointing. There were ants on the wall, the bathroom was extremely small, and the walls were not soundproof at all. For this type of accommodation, I should have paid $100 AUD at the most, but it was more than twice that.

Clean hotel with bus stop outside but very noisy

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Self service continental breakfast was good but the evening meal we had there wasn't. Our room was on the same floor as the reception and was very, very noisy. We could hear everything the other guests in the adjoining room said. There were earplugs in the room which we made use of to cut out the noise from inside the hotel. The noise from outside wasn't a problem even though we were close to the main road. Suggest you ask for a room that's not on this floor! There is a CAT stop outside the hotel to give free access into the city centre. Within walking distance to Kings Park.

Great location and even better receiptionists!
Great location just near everything. Very helpful receptionists who tells me the best way to go into the city is by the free bus just outside the door

I was very impressed with the staff there, who gave us tips on how to get around Perth, and also allow us to store wine for a day or two when we were driving around, so to complete a very fond memory of the region. I think it is this kind of bigger generosity that really contributes to a positive experience about the area!

The Murray hotel has great staff that remembers your name the next time she sees you, always greets you with a smile, and are very helpful to introduce you to the city, find things to do, and help make your trip memorable - they pointed out to us the free cat buses outside the door as a great way to go into the city center, and also let us store our wine while we drove up for a day to the Pinnacles!
This is the epitome of good service!

A very lovely hotel and very accessible all rounder. Just Next to petrol kiosk. A bus stop just infront of the hotel lobby and Linked by a covered walkway.The bus will easily bring you to the main city area for more food and shopping. The staff are very friendly and very helpful.
I would definitely chose the hotel again whenver i visit Perth in near future.
The breakfast buffet spread are nice and suitable for Muslims especially where halal foods are rather difficult over the weekends and their school holidays. Free Carpark and free wifi. This is especially very most appreciated for a first timer visitor to Perth like me.
Restaurant Tip:
Muslims, it will be good that you rent a car as the halal food are rather distance away. We drove all the way to padsbury,warwick, marangaroo and etc. Most are closed for business over the weekends and took us by surprised. During this time the main halal foods are available in the city area. Nevertheless, the Travelling was worthy for sight seeing. Enjoy the trip and travelling, cruising along the highways are a peaceful experince for me. Standby alternative GPS navigation gadget as it has proven very helpful and handy.

I love the room and friendly staff there. I had made booking a room for 3 persons with breakfast to attend my son graduation. When breakfast with extra 1 person(my son) joining ,thought they will charge us but they didn't. We are surprise for their kindly even though the breakfast not much choice just breads but we are happy. Will recommend to my friends and we will stay again here,thank you.
