There was nothing I liked.
1. The hotel asked me to fill out a form asking for my passport number!!! Why would a hotel need my passport number???
2. The chairs in the room were filthy dirty with spots. So gross!
3. They would not let me use their parking and told me that I had to use the valet service which cost me an additional $30 for 2 days. Rip off!
4. They insisted that I park the car in front of the hotel, in an illegal zone no less, and that they would move the car into their garage. On the second day, the police walked up to me and told me that I can not park there and he has to give me a ticket. When I explained what the hotel had said, the police wanted to speak to the hotel staff. I asked them to meet the police on the sidewalk where the hotel desk attendant told the police that he has to explain the 'situation with us' to him later. The police told him that we were guests in Australia and should be treated better. No kidding! After the police left, the desk attendant told us that that cop was always trouble and not to pay any attention to him. What a two-faced jerk!
4. They told me they don't have an electrical adaptor when they had said they do. They claimed that all of them were out and they didn't have anymore. When I complained that during one day they had caused us problem after problem, he finally brought one to us but too little too late.
This is a horrible hotel! My experience with them was so unpleasant that I would never stay at any of their hotels again no matter what. The only reason I didn't go to another hotel was because my stay was only 2 nights and the charge was non-refundable. The staff is rude, the hotel is horrible, and the service sucks royally. They get an big 'F' from me.
Hotel Feature Tip : Don't park in front of the hotel even if the staff tells you to. The police WILL give you a ticket.

- Great external deco, posh and modern.
- Friendly and helpful staff willing to go all out.
- Room was somewhat average, not congruent with first impression.
- Needs an interior make-over.
From the moment I stepped into the lobby to the reception counter, it was really nice, staff at hand to handle my check-in was nice and helpful with some of my queries. The whole feeling was one of luxury and modern living. However, the moment I stepped into my room, it was of average standard, taking into account its prestigious branding. It was simple and clean but lack that modernity feel compared to the main lobby and exterior. Not that bad but could be better.

- Hotel lobby is a bit small
-Somerset st Geroges is quite a good hotel to stay. The hotel is located at the business offices area, hence it is more suitable for those who are on business trips. The surrounding environment of the hotel is clean and quiet. Just about 10- 15 minutes walk will bring you to the Kings Park , Busport , Swan Bell Tower and shopping street malls. The free of charge Blue CAT service bus stop is located just opposite the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : -For travellers who do not plan to drive in Perth, do utilize the CAT , Train and Busport services frequently. You will save a lot of money by using all these public transportations. They are not just economical, but also efficently and effectively operated daily.
