Everything was old and crappy. Normally you'd have a nice view over the river, and soon you will have, but at the moment they are building a new area, so you look over a big construction site.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
You can take a ferry to Rottnest Island, departing close by the Bell tower (which is a 5 minutes walk out front of the hotel) and you'll get information along the river. Hire a bike and a snorkeling kit, you'll gonna love it.

the room I stayed in was dirty, the bed wasn't made very well, looked more like the sheet was just thrown on the bed, over all, I wouldn't reccomend this hotel. was cheap and nasty!!

Perfect Location
Good for the traveller who cannot afford expensive hotels but do not wanna live in hostel

Budgeted hotel; spacious room; excellent location which is so close to the Bell Tower. There is a local tour agency next to the Bell Tower. So, we could get up at the last minute and walk to the lcoal tour gathering place. And it is close to London Court and the city centre.
The staff members were helpful.
However, no free wi-fi provided.

a location of the hotel is very convenient for shopping. i park my car at hotel's parking lots and walk through the london court to a shopping area. that was so close. however, a parking fee is a bit expensive. for hotel guest is aud per day, i stayed for 3 nights that's mean i paid about 90$ excluding tax.

hotel is in a great location only 5 mins walk from the city centre, swan river and rottnest ferry terminal. stayed in a twin roon which had a double and a single. room was good size, very clean and bathroom had a shower over a bath. hotel staff are very helpful. parking is available on the street but is quite expensive as you pay hourly until 6pm. overnight it is free. if you can't find a spot the hotel offers a discount on parking in the car park next door at $25/day.

the new esplanade hotel is in a very central location and only five minutes walk to the city and a couple of minutes to the swan river. staff are very helpful. parking is available for day next door to the hotel. room was clean and adequate for short stay. bathroom door stuck a bit and window could bang as there was no lock but it was a very windy night.

The hotel is quite nice with big room, great location, has many choices of tours and nice receptionist. The room view is beautiful swan river. And the location is near to Perth city, bus stop, train station & the famous King's Park. However, the room carpet smelled bad a little bit. And free wifi is only available for 1 PC at lobby area, otherwise get charges by $6/hour. Yet, we couldn't connect wifi from our room, so we need to sit at lobby.
In overall, the hotel is good. Definitely will come back again.
Restaurant Tip:
Bocelli Cafe at Hay Street Mall. Its coffee and sandwiches are very good.

The New Esplanade Hotel is in a great location, only a 5 minute walk to the city centre and to the Rottnest ferry terminal. Staff were very helpful and offer carparking next door to the hotel for day. Rooms are clean and adequate for short stay. Rooms at the back can be a bit noisy as are next to the carpark exit ramp.
