Hosts Eric and Serena will serve you up English style tea in a pot, and tempt you with freshly baked shortbread. Situated in Cowes, the Holmwood Guest house is set amongst manicured gardens of traditional country style. Homely rooms have original fittings from a bygone era such, fireplaces and huge Victorian headboards. If you are visiting in January be sure to book a guided tour to the nearby Penguin colonies, but choose any other time and you will savor your hot English breakfasts and earl grey, courtesy of the superb hosts.
