A fantastic bargain while still maintaining a lovely rainforest atmosphere, this hotel allows people to save their money for the many attractions of the area. Despite being quite cheap for Port Douglas, the 36 bungalows are spacious with king-size beds and private verandahs or balconies in each unit. It is located merely 3 minutes from the city center where a wealth of shopping and dining are available as well as only five minutes from the famous Four Mile Beach. The area�s attractions are plentiful, but be sure to check out the very nearby Reef and Rainforest Connection tour company whose knowledge of the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Forest is astounding and award-winning. The Port Douglas Retreat Hotel is one of the better values in the area, while not losing the elements of luxury and top-notch service.
