Rendezvous Reef Resort Port Douglas Info
The recently renovated Rendezvous Reef Resort features 181 rooms, some of which feature full kitchens and laundry rooms are a great family stay. The rooms are spacious as are the 15 acres of private rainforest that the hotel is situated on. The design of the rooms is very modern and gives the visitors a feeling that they are staying in their own home, rather than simply another hotel room. The very nearby business, The Rainforest Habitat is very popular amongst families because patrons interact with a wide variety of species that are particular to this part of the world. A great value with brand new (as of July �08) amenities and rooms, this resort is a nice find in the popular city of Port Douglas.

Good pool areas, good restaurant and patio area at the main pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Two bedroom unit was very spacious and clean.
Our unit was only partially renovated - new kitchen and flooring, but old eighties style furniture was very down-at-heel and really needed replacing. No WiFi available at this resort.
Although we were happy with this resort as a whole, if we stayed again we would request a fully renovated unit - ours was only partially renovated and was a bit shabby. Our kids enjoyed the pools, especially the "caves", but the pools were not heated so very young children might find them too cold in the winter.
