great location
friendly and helpful staff
restaurant does not serve lunch or dinner
rooms a bit small, but very manageable
The hotel was centrally located to everything in Syndney. Shopping right across the street and the Harbour was only minutes away. Slot machines (pokey's as they call them in Australia) were in the restuarant right next door. Very nice
We were disappointed that there was no restaurant on sight for lunch or dinner. You are in the heart of Chinatown and it would have been nice to stay at the hotel for one meal. The snacks they serve in the evening were not much, not just portion, but lacking in taste as well. But the bar staff was as great as the hotel staff. Nice job to all of them.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : When using the map the hotel gives you, go to the harbour from the UTS building, it is much closer.

Location Location Location - Nothing but Location.
At the heart of China-Town, 2 min. walking from George Street and a calm 40 min. walk from Sydney's landmarks such as the Opera House the Bay Bridge and Sydney Tower.
Very old building. Feels like a youth motel, without offending such. Tiny and even classtrophobic room and toilet, something that didn't bother the cockroaches...
Indeed the very old building has its owne built-in limits but it could have been a pearl if totaly renovated. In the other hand, the cost would have been much higher and won't fit those who don't want to spend fortune for their overnight bed and shower within the city heart. My package included 3 nights in the price of 2, so I tolerated the visiting roaches that came all the way from a gap in the toilets chamber to check out my pillow. The very friendly and shocked staff asked me to replace the room but for one more night, I thought I better stay in a place without 3 roaches rather than chasing new ones :-)
The elevator went out of service in the 2nd day and it remained so for my entier stay. Nothing special to write home or tell my friends about, but Location.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : For those who like to stroll and walk rather than go by car and lose some touch with the spirit of Sydney - go out from Chaina-Town and continue on George street all the way up and down towards the Circular Quay, Opera House, Bay Bridge and Darling Harbour. Sydney Tower, the park and butanical gardens beneath are also near by and should not be missed, day time or during the night hours.

This hotel was so nice and clean and the staff extremely helpful.
Not the most interesting part of the city though it didn't take more than 5 minutes to get into center.
The standard of the hotel was really high compared to the costs. We were positively surprised how much we got for our money. We arrived early after a long flight but our room was ready and we could go relax with no waiting time. The staff knows the city really well and help with everything from transport advice to where the good restaurants were.
