It is just a 5 mins walk to Chinatown. Just cross 2 traffic lights and there you are at one end of it. The Paddy markets is also just infront of Chinatown. Chinese food is abundance. The Light Rail is just next to the hotel.
Maybe as commented, slight noisy due to corridor too narrow.Similarly due to the busy front road with pubs and other fast food around at corner.
Will definitely stay again when going back to Sydney. The rooms are clean and reasonable size, food, recreation and shopping is all along the famous George street. Chinatown is there next street.Bus stops and LRT station is just next door. What is there to expect when I book my rooms with a 30% discount. Will recommend any friends if going to Sydney for holidays or business.Definitely value for money.
Travel tip : The public transport is very convienently available. Lrt station and main bus routes along George St.

Comfy beds, lovely breakfasts, friendly staff.
The hotel was ideally placed, comfortable and friendly. The staff were very helpful and polite at all times. The food served at breakfast was good and wholesome. We were treated with the utmost politeness and the hotel was not at all noisy. We were near all the attractions and Darling harbour. I also think it was reasonably priced for its position in the city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : So close to all attractions, within walking distance.

The location is pretty good. It's at the beginning of Chinatown, which is not the cleanest and nicest part of Sydney, but you are still close to the CBD sights.
The shower was rather bad, water went in every direction. It was a hotel that was not really worth its price overall. Cracks in the walls and a not so clean room made a bad impression on me.
It was a hotel that was not really worth its price overall. Cracks in the walls and a not so clean room made a bad impression on me. The room was big enough, but furniture and appliances seemed very old. Also, the doors to the rooms shut so loud that you can hear and possibly even wake up when somebody comes home. For me it was only "a room to sleep", so it served its need. But I would not recommend it as a good hotel with an atmosphere of comfort. I cant say anything about the food, I didn't eat there.

Very handy to the Capitol Theatre, entertainment centre, China Town, light rail outside to Star City
The room was very small, although relatively clean. Bed was small with no support (sank in the middle). Bathroom was extremely small and shampoo, soap and conditioner in dispenser. Bad reception on TV.
I would say that if you're after a budget hotel, close to the entertainment centre, China Town, light rail, etc, this is the place for you but if you're expecting any luxury whatsoever, forget it! You could really only spend one night in this place. I would say that you would get better value at a backpackers or youth hostel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This hotel is right next to the Capitol Theatre so if you're seeing a show there, it's perfect, so long as you don't expect any luxury. It is handy to China Town, the Entertainment Centre and is a quick light rail (back of hotel) trip from Star City.

Excellent location at the interesting end of town.
Parking next door, at a price - don't bring your car.
An excellent price for a clean room located at the south edge of the CBD near Central Station, China Town, and Darling Harbour. Good food and pubs are very close, and you can walk to the city straight up George Street. The rooms are nothing special, but clean, bright and air-conditioned.

Staff not too friendly, Small rooms.
We stayed at the Capitol square hotel for about 4 nights. We booked the hotel because of the good location. When we saw the room it was a little bit dissapointing because it was so small considering what we paid for it. Even though the room was small, it was clean. The staff however was not too friendly. Overall we wouldn't stay here the next time we come to Sydney.

Good location,quiet environment,clean
generally speaking,it is a nice hotel.when you live there, you feel safe and quiet. Pretty clean and nice service. It is very convenient to go to Darling Harbor, China Town, Opera House and Central station. So I think it has the best location. You can save money for tansport. Just the funiture is a little bit old.
Restaurant Tip : downstairs very nice Korean restaurant

Location is OK to George Street and there are taxis in the morning but it is the less glamourous end of town. If you are a business traveller or have a sensitve nose, then avoid this hotel. The first room I had looked like it had black mold on the carpet.
Restaurant Tip : Good supermarket, which opens early in the morning, is one block up towards the city.

The location was great and conveniently located within walking distance or a short taxi ride to most attractions. The staff was friendly and very helpful with planning sightseeing tours. The on site restaurant was OK but the room was small and cramped. Lots of restaurants and shops within a couple blocks.
Travel tip : The ferry ride through the harbor had great views.
