Great stay at Central Station hotel as its location is strategy i.e. within walking distance to Central Train Station as well as about 20 mins walk to Sydney Opera House & Harbour Bridge.

When entering the hotel you get a feeling you have made a mistake as there are a lot of back packer types in the small lobby and common area logged on to their lap tops (some for practically the whole day) but once you are in the room you feel a lot better.
I found the location to be ideal. The rooms were small but very comfortable. The storage space is limited but fine for me as a single traveller. I liked the fact that wireless internet access and air-conditioning was available as it was hot in Sydney during my stay in Feb 2013.
Expect a little noise as Wentworth Ave is a very busy road so you will be woken up in the morning rush hour. Overall I did not find it hard to get a good nights rest.
I would stay here again as I liked the homely feel of the rooms
Restaurant Tip:
If you like Thai - Chat Thai on Chatsworth ( about 5 minutes) walk) is a great place to eat. If you are on your own, no problem as you can share a table - food excellent.
On Elizabeth St - just outside the hotel, you can take busses to everywhere - Bondi, Coogee, Kings X, and to Circular Quay and Oxford street is just around the corner.

Good Location, less than 10-min work from Central Station; nice and helpful staff; but the hotel is a bit old and no tooth brush and toothpaste were provided. Wifi network was detected but the hotel staff did not know the password... so I could only access the wifi at the lobby. Overall, the hotel was satisfactory.

Great location but small rooms.
conveniently located near the Central train station, Chinatown and free shuttle bus around town just at the step.

rooms maybe small and a bit noisy from the traffic but the location is great. mins to the train station and Chinatown. 20mins walk to Surry Hills which hosts to many eateries and pubs. A great place to hangout.
20mins walk to Darling Harbour, cutting thru George Street & Elizabeth street - paradise shopping area.
