great, did a wrong month booking, but the front office staff (Gleen) fixed up with no problem,the shower hot water was good, the hotel was clean, the hotel was in King Cross so it was easy to move around the Sydney ourist attractions. I will recommand this hotel for anyone.

Staff are great if you like being comepletely ignored, and treated as if you are an inconvinience. Rooms are great if you like small little boxes with ultra-thin walls and ceiling where you can hear every little noise your neighbour makes at 2am. Room service is great if you only expect 1 new towel and no change of bed linen over a four night stay. Not sure which market the Chalis Lodge is trying to attract as the only guests I saw were all elderly gentlemen who seemingly live there long-term. I wish I had paid extra and found alternative accommadation in Sydney, though in general Sydney hotels are very expensive. On the positive side, the showers were always hot. Final warning: do not use the shuttle service from Syd Int Airport. Too slow, too inefficient, too disorganised. Take care out there.

It was what you paid for. No air-conditioning,

It was in a good location, but thats it. You pay for what you get. The room smelt of paint as they were painting right outside. There was an old fan , the aeroal for the TV didm't work. There was mould in the corners and the tap fell off. We called it fawlty towers.
