The size of the 1 bedroom apartment is good. Toiletteries are from L'ocittane, that's a plus point. Close proximity to Darling harbour.
lack service. Service staffs could have been more welcoming. Hotel is a little far from Townhall station.
Generally, the stay was ok. The size of the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The toiletteries used are L'ocittane and they are really good. However, the service staffs can do with more smile on their face. They don't greet guest walking in and out of the hotel. Hotel is quite close to Darling harbour. Can reach by walking in about 10-15 min.

Location, cost, room size, friendly staff
Mini bar - just too tempting
As we arrived at the hotel we were a little concerned by the style of the reception (just 2 table and the receptionists behind but we honestly had nothing to be concerned about, once we saw our room. It was more like an apartment. Will kitchen/ounge in one area and sizable bedroom with en suite in the other room. It was massive and with tv in both rooms our stay was perfect. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location took right to the centre of things in no time. The water taxi was class and brilliant for taking pics of the bridge & opera house. Awesome stay & we will definately use this hotel again.
Restaurant Tip : The Japanese (something rio) restaurant over the road is fantastic value and the food is lush. Take out ideal for everyone

Easy to find, on the edge of Darling Harbour and Chinatown. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Clean and tidy.
I stayed here 13 & 14 April 2009 and this was an excellent hotel and suited my needs perfectly. It was my first time to Sydney and the hotel was easy to find and central. The staff were all very friendly and gave me lots of help and advice. My room was large with a small kitchen area and provided sachets of tea, coffee, etc. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean and tidy. Also, I wasn't bothered by noise at all. The hotel was in easy walking distance of Darling Harbour and on the edge of Chinatown, also a short walk to the main shopping street. All the staff that I dealt with were extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who was visiting Sydney. The hotel did not have dining facilites on site but had an agreement with the bar next door, however I did not eat there.

Opposite Southern Cross Station!
Walking up to check in at the first floor
The staff was very nice and helpful, that day it was rainning and I asked them about buying an umbrella or poncho which was showing next to the counter. They gave me one to borrow but I had to return it in the evening.

I arrived early and was given access to my room with an early check-in. Very good service
Nice location, friendly staff. My early arrival caused no problems and I was in my room before I knew it. The reception staff were very helpful and nothing was too difficult. The location right on Chinatowns doorstep was excellent. The close proximity of the huge variety of restaurants of all price ranges made for effortless dining. Also having a Monorail stop above the hotel meant transport was easy especially with Sydneys changeable weather.

Good central position, good room & service
The Clarion was just across the road from China Town & Paddy's Market, the exhibition centre was close by & a 5 minute walk brought you to Darling Harbour. The suite consisted of a lounge and fully equipped kitchen, large bedroom & en suite bathroom with TV in lounge & bedroom. The unit was serviced every day with clean towels. Reception was always very helpful. The monorail ran through the hotel.

Recreation service was rather poor. No indoor pool or spa pool.
On first day there was leaking kitchen sink and freezer. Also, carpet was rather wet as well. We had to ask to change room following day.
Restaurant Tip : There is China town just 1 min walking distance. Also some Korean Food about 2 blocks away.

The hotel room was very spacious and clean with a large front room and bedroom. Clarion sweets was very close to central station and china town with great local food options. The central business district is in walking distance and you can walk to the famous opera houses in 20 minutes also. The staff was ok, some were friendly, but some not so much. The pool and jacuzzi on the roof was a plus and that really made the hotel well worth it.
Hotel Feature Tip : Roof top pool

The location of Clarion Southern Cross is ideal. Proximity to everything.
My room was in the process of an upgrade I believe. Other than that it was clean and quiet.
You have a short walk to Darling Harbor for all of its shops and an array of eating establishments. And, you are a couple of blocks away from George Street, where you will find everything you may want. From transit to shops.

Location, in-room kitchen and rate.
Unfinished rooms (i.e. missing television or unfinished walls).
This was a great hotel for the price and location. The staff was friendly and was able to help us with any requests that we had. Located right across the street from Chinatown was a plus. Darling Harbour and its ferries services were a short 10 minute walk away. We also had to walk only a couple of blocks to buses and subway service to anywhere in town. Paddy's Market was only blocks away. I highly recommend this hotel for its value and comfort.

Excellent Location, walking distance to darling harbour, paddy's market, world square. Chinatown at doorstep.
1 bedroom suite is spacious, excellent for us as we have a 22 month old girl. She is a light sleeper, so we could still watch TV with her sleeping in the room. Kitchenette was a plus!
The self-service laundry is quite expensive. Chinatown can be quite noisy on weekend nights, so it was quite noisy from our room.
Location - The location was excellent. Its literally in Chinatown, so lots of cheap and good food. 2 minutes walk to paddy's market for cheap and fresh fruits and vegetables. Market City on 2nd floor has some factory outlet stores. 10min walk to the heart of darling harbout (aquarium, cockle's bay). 5 min walk to world square with huge Cole's supermarket that opens till midnight.
The reception was very helpful. The suite was spacious and provides excellent privacy when the baby needs to sleep earlier. The kitchenette allowed us to prepare baby's food.

Good Location and convinient place
For those who are looking for the place tho stay during the hoilday in sydney, this could be your answer. The room is quite big, clean and convienient. The location is also good. So many restaurants nearby (especially in china town: opposite to the hotel. Moreover, you can go for sightseeing easily by walking or taking monorail. Both service and facility is good. This hotel is value for your money. Recommend!!!
