good price, convinient location
it was a good stay but we were at the room next to the left, and we could hear the noise of the left going up and down all the time. When we arrived, the receptionist actually mistaken our booking and over charged us, i had to get another staff to sort this out for me at the end, other than that it was overall not a bad stay.

Location - 20 mins walk to Botanical Gardens and Opera House
Bar/Coffee area downstairs in the foyer would have been great
Room was clean and homely adequate for my needs. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Reception area comfortable big sofa's and coffee tables (unfortunately no coffee available to purchase - just a full big breakfast on the 5th floor, which most people rave about) lots of information leaflets on local tours available. Central location on the Eastern side of this city much better than the more expensive high rise properties in the town centre.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Turn right outside the hotel and follow the road down you will end up in he Dock area, where there is an excellent famous caravan selling pie and mash continue past this follow the bay around go up the steps and you are in the botanical gardens and get your first view of the opera house.(30 mins approx)

Location, cleanliness, kitchenette. Friendly and helpful staff.
Noisy from six in the morning. Uncomfortable bed.
Having read the reviews on this hotel we were a bit worried about the place before we checked in. I asked for a room with a kitchenette when booking the room and was surprised that we were given it. We arrived just before a holiday weekend in Sep 09 so we knew it would be busy. The room we were in was spacious and clean. The downside is that our room was situated outside an alley where the binmen would arrive at 6 in the morning and that was our nights sleep over. Bed wasn't that comfortable but you get what you pay for. Shops, restaraunts and public transport are outside the hotel door. Staff were helpful with any questions on directions etc. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone on a budget wishing to be close to the city. Pro's far outweigh the con's.
Hotel Feature Tip : If in room with kitchenette there's a supermarket across the road from the hotel.

Expensive for what you get, however staff are very good
In a central area however the rooms need to be upgraded with the bathrooms' water pressure very poor. Would suggest that gradings for hotls in Australia are not the same as else where in the world

Clean and comfortable rooms, close to restaurants, shops, entertainment and tourist attractions, leafy suburb with birds coming for a visit to the windows of the breakfast room
Kings Cross Train Station was closed due to renovation works.
Because of its closeness to Kings Cross entertainment district, the street can be a bit noisy on weekend nights.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Also we were travelling with a child. The room was big and could accommodate all three of us and additional bedding was already organised when we arrived. It was clean and friendly and there are many eating places within a few minutes walking distance. At the booking price through Agoda it is fantastic value and we would book it again in the future.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Bring a camera to breakfast as wild Sulphur Crest Cockatoos often come to the window sill and can be hand fed.

be careful, single travelers~
The location of the hotel is both a pro and con - at lively Potts Point with pubs and bars, yet at night one may not feel safe -- when people from night club trying to 'attract' more customers. If you go as a couple/group it's ok. Not recommended for single travellers.
The view from the room is beautiful, overlooking the port. There is a supermarket just opposite the hotel. The staff at the reception is friendly and helpful.
