This semi-circular architectural landmark takes pride of place on the natural undulation of Sydney, and cradles the famous Kings cross Station in its yawning belly. Feast your eyes on the sleepless harbor lights and the great arches of the Harbour Bridge. The Holiday Inn Potts Point is built for looking at, and designed to be looked out of. Featuring ultra-plush pillows and drapes, outstanding lighting design and warm, soothing tones, the 288 rooms will provide ample space and comfort. Downstairs beside the welcoming lobby, Sirocco restaurant features a plethora of local and imported wines and right outside are some of the finest little eateries in town. Maintained and equipped to the highest specification, the conference facilities are second to none, and after a busy day blow off some steam in the gym. Relax and enjoy the best Sydney has to offer, and hey, tell your friends.

Not great but good value for money
Value for money, close to CityRail, good location if you like nightlife

Was first attracted to this hotel because of its price. A bit further from the CBD but with immediate proximity to CityRail it was not a big problem. The hotel is on a quiet street next to King's Cross (a busy red light area) which I was told is not the safest place to be especially at late night, but I had no problem during the 2 night stay.
Room was large but was a bit old, things doesn't look very clean when they are aged, especially the bathroom. The beds were OK so it is fine if you just go back to sleep.
The breakfast buffet was fine but doesn't offer much choice of hot food. Basically only eggs, bacon and sausages and that's it. There are quite a lot of bread/croissant/muffin, fruit salad and cereal etc so it shouldn't be a problem for most. Given the price of the hotel it is already over my expectation.
