This hotel is in need of renovation/painting. I am an easy going traveller and had a room on the 2nd floor at the rear overlooking Victoria St which is full of cafes and restaurants and a pub along with a supermarket, pharmacy......
The staff helped with moving my luggage to my room (thanks Tony) and as it is accessed from the rear it means you are free to come and go without passing reception - which only operates 0800-2000.
Wi fi was very good - get the password when you check in.
Room was sufficent for me and bathroom was functional.
This hotel does need some "tidying" up as it is abit frayed around the edges -especially compared to when it opened some years ago as a very arty/design/boutique hotel.
As someone who used to live in Darlinghurst it was convienient.
As someone who is involved in the accommodation business its time for some painting at least.

This hotel was of a lower standard than any backpackers I have stayed in throughout Europe or Australia. Overrated and overpriced for a dirty and very basic accomodation
