1) Location near Sydney International Terminal
2 Quiet, even in a room facing airport--double-glazed windows worked well. (It also helped that we were given a room away from the elevator).
3)The refrigerator was not a mini-bar, and was therefore usable for what the guests chose to put in it.
Clean room, although not huge. Size didn't matter for us, since we were only overnighting there and didn't need space to do any repacking.
1) Information about the shuttle service from the airport was non-existent--nothing at hotel website and no signage at terminal.
2) Lighting in room was tolerable, but just minimal.
This hotel met our need to be near the International Terminal for an early AM flight, but we had booked it with some reservations because of an earlier bad experience with a Mercure in Europe. In terms of meeting our needs, the room was fine (it was quiet and we got a good night's sleep), but it was one of the 2nd most expensive room we stayed in during an 8-week trip to NZ, Australia, Singapore, and Japan, and it offered little value for the price.
A warning: check your bill carefully before paying it. The hotel claimed it would provide free shuttle service FROM the airport but would charge $6 a head for service back to the airport. At check-out, we discovered they had charged us $24 for both trips. After protesting the charge to no avail we finally said we would pay it but let Mercure headquarters know about this false advertising. When he heard that, the manager standing nearby intervened and told the clerk to charge us only $12. Beware! This "bait and switch" tactic was like the one that had soured us on Mercure in Europe!
Restaurant Tip : If you want a longer walk than the one across the park by the car park to the "boat club," head down Gertrude St. and cross the bridge over the river to the "motor boat club." At this bourgeois private club open to the public, you'll get a tasty, ample and inexpensive meal, prepared individually for you, along with a good local draft beer for under $10 Australian! (We found this place because we wanted to take a longer walk and also wanted to find an ATM!)

No drinking water service in the room.
The shuttle price was $6 per person. We are 2 that means we have to pay $12. We arrived at 2pm and we were waiting for the driver for the shuttle. Nobody there, only the bus. We waited for 30 minutes then decided to take a taxi. Taxi from Airport to Hotel was only $9. Small amount of different but still save some money and don't have to wait.

It is very convenient to stay at this hotel since there is a great deal for taxis, underground and buses near the hotel. People is very kind and they helped a lot with some of my shopping being delivered there. The shuttle to-from the airport is a great support for visitors, I am thankful for that.

rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. very close to international terminal but not close to anything else services wise.
shuttle is so close it would have been nice if it was on demand rather than having to wait for the scheduled run. Breakfast was expensive.
When arriving on an international flight it is almost always early in the day and the hotel was great about putting us into a room earlier than check in. The room was quiet despite being very close to the International terminal and the bed very comfortable. The hotel is rather isolated if you were hoping for other close by services. There is a local train station within walking distance for trips downtown but it is not close and might be considered less desireable for a later night return. In a nutshell, I would return again if looking for a quiet, comfortable place to catch up on jetlag before venturing off on your travels.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : make the longer walk to the local train station rather than using the airport as it is a fraction of the cost.

The great water pressure in the shower and comfortable bed.
The driver of the transfer bus to the airport was rather grumpy and rather nasty for no apparent reason that I could see.
The ease of the taxi to the hotel was good. The reception person was very helpfull as it was a late checkin with info about next day airport transfer and with what was available to eat at that time of the night at the inhouse food.

A shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel directly. The hotel shuttle bus to the airport from the same ($ 5) in 5 minutes (experience) level.
Taxis to the city center (15 minutes $ 20) or subway ($ 3 20 minutes), but a little walk to the subway station (10 minutes), who went so far from the highway The thin and light, you need to go home at night was a bit cautious
TOREZU hotels for New Year's Eve in the center, hotel or airport in this direction or the Olympic Park, the old one. Room service and a wide lobby, common feature of this hotel is not any. , Sydney腹立TASHIKATTA has more than doubled in price since the New Year's Eve is very close to the airport from the city (15 minutes by taxi), the next day, from early to be worried about using the airport and hotel I felt like nothing in particular
