lovely hotel and service with a smile

I found the staff a the mercure Sydney hotel very helpful and nice, the room was very comfetable and clean. The location was just perfect so close to all public transport, and walking distance to pubs, clubs and fast food and the best of all walking distance to do lots of shopping.

Great location, short walking distance (abt 5 mins) to Central Cityrail Station. Also short walking distance (abt 10mins) to relatively cheap good food in Chinatown. Good shopping at Paddy's Market which is in the vicinity of Chinatown. Must try Vietnamese beef rice noodles at Pasteur which is just 5 mins walk along George Street. The two beds are comfortable for 2adults+2children (age 5 & 7). However, there is limited space in e room for luggage. A collapsible luggage stand would be useful. Friendly staff at the reception & concierge. An umbrella is always ready for loan at the concierge and comes in handy whenever it rains. Thanks Mercure Sydney for providing a wonderful stay.
Restaurant Tip:
Tasty Japanese Ramen from Gumshara inside food court in Dixson Street. Try Chinese dim sum & takeaway cakes & Chinese pastries from Emperor Restaurant in Chinatown, at beginning of Dixson Street.

Great Hotel great location great service

The hotel was nice, and clean. The staffs were wonderful and were very helpful during our stay in the hotel. They are very knowledgeable about the City, and are able to recommend us regarding the tourist attractions near the location. The location was great as it is in the downtown. The only drawback was probably regarding internet access. The wireless internet was not free. We would like to come back to this hotel, especially with great rate from Agoda

the hotel has standard size rooms like many other hotels but the plus point i like is that it has 2 double beds room, with reasonable price. the location is great too. many restaurants nearby and bus stops / railway station just a few steps away. the staffs are friendly, front office and cleaning service. the only different i found was that it did not provide complimentary mineral water in the room. other hotels i ever stayed before will provide 2 bottles of complimentary mineral water every day. i don't get used of the idea of drinking directly from the tap, especially from toilet's tap water.
Restaurant Tip:
in front of the hotel there is a chinese hot plates restaurant, next to kfc, with a good foods. not far from there is a chat thai restaurant with reasonable prices too, but the queue is long. be careful at the fish market. ask for receipt and check it!!!

it was a very clean hotel, the standard room wasnt too small, it was quite big, the toilet was fine and the service from reception and concierge was superb, i really enjoyed staying at mercure, and also the location near to the transportation like buss or train, so overall i was satisfied with the hotel

In front of the hotel you can see many restaurant like Mcdonals, KFC, ane sushi stalls, Subway and many other choices. alos near to bus stop, trains, and darling harbour and chinatown.

I had a very good experience staying in this hotel, I was arrived early in the morning around 7am, and I try to call the hotel from airport just to find out if they would let us check in, we were so tired after a long flight from Jakarta, and then it was unbelieveble that the receptionist were actually let us check in at that very morning, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. I'm definitely going to stay in this hotel again on my next visit to sydney and also recommend my friends to stay here too.

Mercure Hotel Sydney is just 5 minute walk from Sydney Central Station. For asian traveller, in front of this hotel there is one asian restaurant with complete asian menu, they have rice, chicken, beef and halal food. Near Mercure hotel, we can find minimart open 24 hours.

Great location as the hotel is located just on the edge of the main city but a close 5-10 min walk to the heart of Sydney city. There is a main bus terminal just downstairs and central train station so your transport options are very good. Definitely would stay again at this hotel.
