The stylish art-deco design of the hotel's exterior is complemented by the modern, stylish design of the rooms available at this centrally located hotel. If you want to hit up some of the excellent restaurants and bars the Darling Harbor area has to offer it’s only a short walk away, make sure to visit the botanical gardens while in town as well. For getting around Central Sydney on foot the Metro on Pitt couldn’t be better located. The almond champagne colored ambience of the interior is refreshing. With elegant marble and woodwork throughout the hotel it’s a clean break from some of the rustic looking accommodations in the area. The dark-wood bar area, with a friendly night-time elegance and sophisticated atmosphere that’s easy on the eyes is a key spot to unwind after a day of getting around the vibrant CBD.

The location of Metro Hotel on Pitt is great as it's 5 minutes walk to the major shopping centers like QVB, Myers and David Jones. I was able to drop off my bulky shopping quickly to continue the day without the hassle of lugging my packages around. It's also close to Town Hall train station for train trips out of the city, numerous bus stops to get to places like Oxford Street Paddington in less than 10 minutes.
The room was comfortable and clean with daily housekeeping. Staff were great and helpful.
Hotel Feature Tip : Woolworths is a block away and it operates 24hours.

Basic hotel that gives good value for money, in probably the best location short of being on the harbour. 2 minutes to Pitt St mall, and 3 minutes to darling harbour, 3 minutes to 'Museum' subway station. Top location.
Shopping Tip : So close to pitt st mall - great for shopping

This is the second time I've stayed here. I was with a business colleage this time. Our room was an odd shaped - wrapped around the back of the lift shaft but suitable for us. Lacation close to Hyde Park as well as Town Hall Station good. About a 15-20 min walk to the waterfront.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Train stations are close. One at Hyde Park and Town Hall in George St.
