The hotel location was really convinent and great and the rooms were newly renovated and clean. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. But the maintance and the management did notseem that great. The table lamp did not work and it was obviously not taken care of for a long time.

A strategic location around CBD Customer assistance in the use of the elevator was not briefed to us. The Metro Sydney Central Hotel is located near the CBD, which is a good spot for access to Sydney's sightseeing attractions and shopping convenience. Though customer service is undeniably hospitable, there seems to be a lack of initiative on the part of the service attendant to ask about petty details regarding hotel facilities use. It needs the air of welcome despite the ability of each staff to provide a warm response when asked.

Great location, with airport shuttle access, easy walking/transpo to tuorist areas
Helpful staff Maintenance needed in plumbing fixtures Getting to hotel is easy with choice of airport shuttle or taxi.Quite convenient. For tourists, the location is great for sights and shopping areas. The reception staff were helpful and courteous, gives a good impression from the start, especially to tired travelers.
Rooms are small (but for the price...is OK). Basic conveniences are available. Plumbing needs some maintenance though, as faucets are very hard to tighten. Overall, a place to return to if you are after decent, clean, and convenience.

The hotel is located nearby the China town within the Central Business district. Restaurants, supermarkets and shopping centres are within walking distance. Beds were small. Improvement needed in respect of cleanliness in the room and water taps of the bathtube. The price of the accommodation was reasonable. Staff were helpful and polite. I would come again when I vist Sydney next time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The hotel is situated in the central of the city. Public transport are convenient. Free tourist shuttle (no.555) is just around the corner. Light rail to Darling harbour, Fish market, casino is on the next street.

great locations, close to the central train station. there is a swimming pool in the roof. staff both are helpful and nice. supermarkets, convenient stores and restaurants are everywhere. no toothpaste, toothbrush, cotton pad and cotton bud in the bathroom. also, no slippers.

This hotel is located three minutes walk from Central Station which makes moving around very convenient. Its also very short walk from Haymarket / Chinatown. A lot of banks around the area. Nice restaurants and night spots. There's a Cole supermarket nearby and a 7-Eleven across the road. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk away from the Queen Victoria Building. Hotel has a very strategic location and price is reasonable. They checked us in at 10am. Wow! Will definitely stay there again.

location is good, room was rather big bathroom and carpet were in rather so-so condition would go there again, for a few nights, not for a long stay though. Staff was rather helpfull and friendly, and u had enough space in room, the corner room had 2 walls with windows, so had a nice view. breakfast room was nice, the breakfast ok for the value.... all in all for the rate was ok and convenient to go anywhere from it...

Refurbished room.
Friendly, helpful staff. Metro Central is in a great location, close to central station, Chinatown, Paddy's the SEC and the southern shopping area. It is also close to the Goulburn Street parking station. The room was newly refurbished and the staff were friendly and helpful, allowing us to leave our bags in safe storage whilst we did some last minute shopping and hailing down a taxi for us. The rooftop pool is a little small but clean.
Restaurant Tip : Try Chilli Cha Cha - just up the road and great Green Thai Curry.

Openness of reception, convenience, lift security for occupants only. Salty dish at breakfast of 21 Feb 2009. This is a brief note to thank all of the service staff, cooking crew, and cleaning staff, and all the others who work hard behind the scenes to make the Hotel function as it does. It was a pleasant stay even though it was a brief one.
Shopping Tip : Take the L90 Bus to Warringah Mall (Palm Beach Bus) near the main bus bay near Town Hall? (I think it was.) They run very frequently. Or even go all the way to Palm Beach and back. Long trip, but it was like a mini excursion the last time I went.

The hotel is conveniently located on the centralized Pitt Street, within easy walking distance of the shopping districts. There is an approximate 20 minute walk to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. The room was clean and modern, though the air conditioning was of a low standard. There was also a charge for the use of the safe. Breakfast was a standard continental buffet.

Great service, nice rooms Parking 1km away (and bringing your stuff all the way back) is outrageous.

Lovely hotel, rooms to a great standard cleanliness and facilities couldn't complain!! Internet facilities....expensive compared to other cafes!! Great hotel found online, room was to a great standard spacious and modern...pretty good view aswell from the 11th floor! Bathroom was clean, towels and toiletries provided were ample. Facilities available were all you needed hotel staff were very helpful. Plenty of information leaflets available at reception and in a great central location...easily walk to the quay and the bridge just down Pitt St. Wouls stay again and recommend!

- Cigarette butts at entrance for 2 days.
- very unfriendly receptionist.
- traveled from Scotland to be given a room facing a brick wall.
- was given keys to the incorrect room when we checked in. We were eventually given the superior room that we had booked and paid for.
- out of service lift sign was in the lift instead of being on the outside of the lift.
- swimming pool was uninviting and stairs leading to the pool were filthy.
- guest info booklet at the reception stated that there was restaurant and room service but no service actually existed.

Close to Central Rail Station My family and I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. It was because she is very close to Central Rail Station so that we could access any place easily and quickly for everyday city travel.

This hotel is in very good location, it is just hundred meter away from the center railway station, very close to China Town, and walking distance to the famous Darlin Habour. The room is quite small and the facilities are quite simple, but it is value for money, and there are quite a lot cafes and restaurant around the hotel. The staff perormance is OK. I will stay there again if I visit Sydney next time.
