we were offered a room on 9th floor with views across to the airport landing strips which was good. quite a bit of action to watch there as well as the windsurfers and jetskis on the water. quite noisy still with planes on the go all day, and a very busy road outside and the fact that the wind was coming from the airport direction. but the planes stopped coming and going at about 11pm, so we didn't have any trouble sleeping. the rooms are a bit tired and in need of a 'do-up.' carpet had some stains on it, but the rooms were quite clean. the doonas seem to have the odd 'stain' so it would be a good idea if the people cleaning the rooms actually looked at them and changed them a lot more often. a very nice beach with lovely fine white sand. wifi too expensive.
Restaurant Tip:
A very nice dinner buffet is served by the hotel.

On this occasion we were upgraded to a poolside room which proved to be much better that the one we had previously overlooking the traffic lights and listening to the traffic noise from below.
The view from the poolside room overlooked the beach and the airport runway. It was great to watch the aircraft come and go without excessive amounts of noise.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Excellent for aircraft watching.

Breakfast was included in the room rate and was extensive. The waitress will even make you an espresso if you ask.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Ask for room overlooking the pool, they are much nicer and less noisy.

this is my 6th stay at this hotel and no problems with an early check-in after an overnight flight from thailand. the room was great with a huge balcony at the corner front overlooking botany bay,absolutely great except when the southerly winds get up !!! this hotel is idealy located approx 15 mins from the airport and has a variety of nearby walkable rstuarants including the rsl club opposite which has a great chinese restuarant upstairs at reasonable prices. definately stay here once again !!!

The gym is well equipped but a bit dark and in an open area... and if you need exercise a walk or run down the paths along the beach is a good option.

this is in a great location which is very near the sydney airport, with some good and inexpensive restaurants in the hotel and nearby streets. the rooms are good, the staff are great, and it is a good as a hub for getting to nearby suburbs and then off to the airport.

Handy Location close to Airport
Excellent staff, rooms ok, aging and could do with a refurbish. Close to airport if you need somewhere to overnight for early flight.

We have stayed here a few times over the past 10 years, I find it better than some of the accomodation closer to the airport. It is possibly a bit over priced if you compare with other hotels. On an asian rating (South East Asia) I would rate it 3 star. Pleasant enough for short stays.
