Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Comfortable bed, not much else
The bed and pillows were about it.

Rocking up to the hotel, was a strange smell in the room which I couldn't work out till the 3rd day. The fridge was powered up but had been turned down to 0 so that the milk in the fridge had gone off and leaving a poor smell.
Bathroom Fan/Fridge/Aircon all made horrible noises while turned on like grinding or sticky gears.
Room had new towels added daily, existing towels were not taken away leaving a big pile of towels, beds were not made, and ridiculously over priced wifi that it was cheaper to add more data to my 4g mobile phone.
Only positive, was an extremely fast checkin the bed was large and comfortable (same can not be said for other rooms my friends were in)

room was tiny, horrible and depressing
the outside of the hotel looked ok

We left early. We will never stay there again and would discourage anyone from staying there unless they like claustrophobic, shabby and broken down things.
don't believe the internet photos. They are not true

Not a good option for families - smell and stains
The only advantage of this hotel is the location
5.7
There is a smell of dampness everywhere, bathrooms and bed linen with stains. Moreover, there were two spiders and a cockroach in our room which was on the lower ground (never take the lower ground room in this hotel). Apart from the location, nothing positive.

Close to Coogee bay
Value for money is OK for Sydney

The Lodge is OK if you just want to stay over the night here and spend the rest of the day sightseeing.
Unfortunately the only way to get around is the bus (station luckily located just in front of the lodge).
So, this place is a bit off the major attractions and you loose a bit of time commuting into town.
Like most places, Internet access here is NOT complimentary but quite expensive :-(.

Good location, but can improve kitchen facilities
Restaurants and supermarkets around
6.3
We saw a cockroach and a spider in our room upon check-in, but other than that cleanliness was still okay. There was a common kitchen, but the pots and pans were mostly burnt. It would be good if the management could help replace some of the pans periodically, or bring your own pots and pans if you intend to cook. UNSW is about 20mins walk away and there are several restaurants and groceries shop around which is convenient.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Bring your own pans or pots if you intend to cook as most pans provided are burnt. Food at Tum Thai and sushi at Sushi Inn is good.

Simple hotel but can improve kitchen facilities
Restaurants and supermarkets around
5.7
Similarly to our friends in the other room, there was a cockroach in our room, which suggests housekeeping should be improved. We had to buy our own pans as the kitchen pans were mostly burnt. Staff was approachable.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Bring your own pans or pots if you intend to cook
