Set against the stunning Sydney Harbour as a backdrop, the hotel is five minutes drive from Manly and 30 minutes drive from the city. The majestic and comfortable rooms include all modern amenities and are surrounded by incredible 180 degree views of Sydney s stunning harbour and the restorative beauty of the Australian bush. The Boilerhouse Harbourside Restaurant is set right on the edge of the Harbour, just footsteps from the beach and is open for lunch and dinner every day. The retreat also offers a variety of interactive tours - for something really different, let nightfall be your doorway to another world as you hear the stories and legends of residents past on the Q Station Ghost Tour. Hire a bike to explore the National Park or a kayak to launch from the on-site beach, head in to nearby Manly for cafes, restaurants, bars and clubs or simply relax and rejuvenate. N.B. Personal rooms offer private bathrooms just a few steps away from the room.
Please note that the property is located within Sydney Harbour National Park and private vehicles are not permitted to be driven on site. When arriving, guests can park their car in the arrival car park and check-in at the reception area. From there, a shuttle bus will take guests to their room. The shuttle bus runs on a continous loop to assist guests in moving throughout the Q Station site. Guests planning to arrive by car are welcome to contact the property for more information, contact details can be found in the booking confirmation. Happy with the hotel staff who gave us a choice of rooms to stay. The hotel shuttle bus came to pick us from the Boiler house restaurant at 9pm which was very nice The bathroom outside the hotel room was fine with modern touches in fact it adds a scary dimension to the ghostly historical setting of the place.

Only wish there was security screen door on bedroom so door could be left open at night to let in fresh air.
Travel tip:
If staying a few days be good to catch ferry across to manly and back few hours later. But note ferry times last return early in the afternoon.

Boilerhouse
Start your dining experience with a drink in the Engine Room or on the terrace. Two giant boilers have been carefully restored and the walls are covered with enormous pipes and valves that once sent steam to the autoclaves and boiling water to the showers and the laundry.
