OK stay, good location, horrible internet service
location, friendly staff, transportation
6.3
Good. The biggest issue was the lack of decent internet. The booking said FREE internet and upon arrival was told the internet was free for 3 hours/day and then a $15 charge. The FREE internet however, was the slowest internet I've encountered in a VERY long time

clean, nice people, good location.

We stayed just one day, but we felt very nice! Kind hotel mates helped us to know about Sydney. This hotel looks old, but really nice inside.

best location and we had a huge balcony with a view of the bridge. just walk out the door into the best restaurants and pubs in sydney. My only remark is paying $40 a night as a guest to park my car there was too much. We will only stay there again if we do not have a vehicle.

Great Location
Good size room with kitchenette
8.7
Nice small hotel in great location only a few minutes walk from all the Sydney attractions, Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, Trains, Ferries, Buses, etc. Staff very helpful. Good buffet breakfast with fresh pancake maker. Small swimming pool and spa.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
$44 dollars gets you a weekly travel ticket on buses, ferries and trains within the Sydney area, a great saving on individual fares

Great Location for Cruise Departure
Room Size (Historic Terrace House) Large Bedroom, Bathroon, Sitting area. Location for cruise ships in Sydney harbor. Right in Rocks area.

we booked one of the historic terrace houses ... it was a wonderful size with character. booked on a cruise, we walked down to the harbor with our cases - just two streets away. hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. note: if you have trouble with steps and stairs, then a terrace house would not be suitable. there is only access via the back of the house, which is a narrow outside corridor over three levels, and the bedroom is up a quite steep staircase.
the room, and street, were very quiet despite being in a central location within the rocks. harbor, water taxis, cruise liners - all within 5 mins walk. lots of local cafes and eating places.
only slight issue: our bedroom looked over, and vice versa, the rooms of the hotel opposite - but curtains and netting made it a non-issue for us.

Brilliant location but everything else about this hotel is a rip off.
Very basic amenities, comfortable enough but anything extra and they know how to charge you for it. Expensive wifi, expensive breakfast, even expensive snack bar in the room. The pool is tiny. You really can't use this hotel for anything other than a base to see the city. For this it is perfect, right in the heart of it, 10 min walk to the harbour and all the sites.
