We stayed in this hotel for three night. This hotel is in a very convenient location. The only thing needs to be improve is the service in reception. We traveled to AU from the US and we fell difference of services with reception compare to the US hotels.

We really have a comfortable with Rydges World Square. It is very good location and the kids enjoy it very much with the nearby shop and restaurant. We will stay with Rydges World Square again if we visit sydney again.

i had an enjoyable stay. the room was suitable for a business trip, but i can see it would also be suitable for a holiday or most travel reasons. the most appealing thing i found about the hotel was the location and the price. i would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in sydney.

The location is great, 5 minutes from Town Hall Station. Only stayed for a night so I can't say much. No breakfast included.
Valet parking was relatively cheap, typical overnight parking in Sydney CBD.

I enjoyed my stay at Rydges very much as it was very conveniently located to Town hall and Central. In addition, once you go downstairs, there is plenty of restaurants (korean, thai and Chinese) to choose from. It was also the stop for the monorail, called world square. Room was little bit small and the bathroom looked rather old fashioned, especially the floor tiles. However, it was kept clean by housekeeping. The complimentary internet was also very useful and i did not have to worry about having to pay per hour rates. The taxi ride to the airport was also not long and that was an added plus.

Check out Campbell street, lots of thai restaurants there

Hotel's location very centralised and have easy access to lots of shops, and best of all, within walking distance. No hassle at all as to taking public transport/taxis. The monorail just round the corner is also a plus. I am personally very impressed with the service at the concierge - very prompt, polite efficient. Yes, I would highly recommend this hotel, particularly for shoppers.
Shopping Tip:
Coles supermarket is just round the corner and are open late into the night and very convenient.

front desk staff could be more helpful and hotel should not cancel room reservation since already fully paid in advance.
Reservation paid in advance was from March 2 to 7. I arrived the day after, March 3 only to find out that the hotel has cancelled my reservation and they had to look for available rooms, resulting to them offering me a room with twin beds rather than the deluxe king i requested for. The reason given was because I did not check in the previous day.
I insisted and good thing that the fornt desk staff understood my point and was able to lok for a deluxe king room.
Other than this, the location was great, very near points of interest, very near grocery which open until midnight, and a monorail station was just below the hotel.
