We have stayed in Rydges 3 times because of it's convenient location. We were always disappointed in the room make-up. We had to call housekeeping few times during our 8 days stay. Room need more lights.

I am staying 3nights in rydges world square.. the hotel was good.. clean.. and have a great location.. which is next to world square mal which offers food and shop..
The hotel located in central city of sydney.. so everything is walking distance.. the staff was great.. definitely would go back to this hotel if i have another business meeting in sydney...

Over rated & nasty

Room was dark and dingy - we had to go to the supermarket and buy bright bulbs. The bathroom quality was poor and whilst there was tea and coffee making there were two mugs and nothing else, not even spoons. The staff never came with them, but they did send someone to clean the cigarette butts from the balcony floor.
Generally we hated this depressing shopping mall style hotel.

Needed a place to stay overnight at short notice and arriving at the Rydges was an oasis of comfort and wonderful service after a hectic day. Was pleased to find a room that catered to smokers and the room service was generous and well priced. Would definitely stay again,especially at the special I got for checking in after 8:30pm.
