Good value
Easy to access, close to Central Station, good value

WE booked the lower rate for check in after 8.30pm. We found this hotel to be one of the most convenient and best value for a quick overnight stay in Sydney between other travel plans / journeys.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walk around the corner to Liverpool STreet to take the Monorail to heart of the city or Darling Harbour

Lovely hotel in great location.

Pros:
-Great hotel, well located, at the heart of the City.
-Everything could be reached by walking, or take a bus which the station is very near to the hotel.
-Breakfast was perfect, various menus, great taste, good table.
Cons:
-The room is dusty, my side table bed was so dusty.
-The bathroom abit old fashion. Shower room was dark, no lighting enough
-The receptionist made mistake about my charge payment, I got a family room include breakfast, but they would charge me for my breakfast. I told them about my booking condition and they simply said it was a mistake. The thing is if my other family numbers did the check out and they didnt know about it, we would pay for nothing.

Front desk staff made my day 3 times. I checked into the hotel early at 8am after a long 8 hour flight. The front desk personnel was nice enough to find me a room so that I could freshen up for my 10am meeting. Great start! On check out, I had to attend a last minute conference call. Late at night, the front desk personnel manning the graveyard shift allowed a 2-hour late checkout which made it possible for me to finish my conference call in the privacy of the hotel room. Then came checkout, I had a whole bunch of coins accumulated during my stay, so like any traveller I was trying to dispose of them by paying with coins. The front desk personnel was nice enough to wait patiently for me to count my coins. She was nice enough to even change all my extra coins into notes so that I don't have to carry it with me back home. To top it all, I was 20c short of $20 and she topped it up herself! From the country that I come from, people generally would not sell to you even if you are 10c short.
The people working at this hotel are fantastic. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We had a balcony room which suited us perfectly but it was still quiet enough to sleep when doors were closed. Room is well appointed and toiletries are pleasant to use!
Travel tip:
Try the bar menu if you don't want to have a fussy or big meal. They have a lovely range of light meals to choose from

the location is really convenient being at the world sqare. all the food and shopping is handy. the room type is deluxe king and it is clean and large but the pillow is too soft which sleeping on it for too many days had got me neck problems. the staff is nice and service is at all times as well.

The television reception was not very good. Not to comment on the housekeeping service which took at least half an hour to deliver the towels. The lighting in the room seems to be too dim and sometimes there is no light if you don't put ur card at the door at certain angle.

we stayed at rydges for 4 nights. the hotel staff are just ok. the hotel location is great. there are a lot of restaurants around there and also next to the monorail and very close to "museum" subway station.
the room is very clean and the shower is wonderful. it is a great hotel to stay in sydney.
Restaurant Tip:
All kinds of restaurants around this area. Japanese, Korean, Western food. Coles supermarket also is located to this area too. It's very convenience to have a good food around there.

Great place. Nice rooms which they upgraded for us. Very hustle bustle on the street immediately upon getting out the door. All in all a very decent place.
Hotel Feature Tip:
The valet parking is $50/ night. Not cheap in my book....
