the hotel location is fantastic with a magnificent view! just a few steps from the darling harbor in sydney. the room did not meet my expectations in some ways, however it was tidy and comfortable. the staff was very friendly and helpfull. we did not find everything we needed upon arrival for the accommodation of three adults, only for two. the bathroom finishings could be better.

It wasn't what we expected. We thought we were getting a 2 bedroom apartment; instead we got two one bedroom apartments with seperate keyed entries, both of which were linked to a short entry corridor behind a single entry door, lockable in the event of both apartments being booked to a family or group. There was a double bed in each Apartment, with an option of a trundle for a 5th person (Max 5 people). Thankfully, the sofas in each Apartment were sofa beds (the staff didn't know this) which were ageing & uncomfortable. There were cursory "balconies" in each Apartment-totally unsafe and unusable for the purpose. There were no dishcloths or mops - small but useful items. The Spa was empty- no signs up -potentially hazardous. Extremely (understandably) noisy but extremely convenient location. Tiny parking spaces. Be careful not to scratch your car getting in and out of parking spaces.Take a bus or fly in if you can as parking in Sydney CBD is at a premium.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Must see the Chinese Gardens closeby. Awesome!

great location on sussex street - by qvb
very clean rooms, bathroom likewise; very helpful front desk; even though in the middle of a big city, very quiet

arrived early; checked in although room unavailable until 2.00pm. bags secure. downstairs coffee shop/cafe was excellent.
short walk (2 minutes) up druitt street to qvb and you are in the middle of a beautiful city. walk the other way and you are in darling harbour in 5 minutes. quiet location with clean rooms appealed to us. we will go back there on our next visit.

great rooms in great location
nice spacious rooms and so close to everywhere

the rooms set up is very god for family with washing machines and dryer and full kitchen. great for long stay and explore sydney. the staffs are friendly and efficient. do not drive as the parking is very expensive and public transport is very available. the hotel is near to great eating spots and made our stay pleasant. we will return again the next time we come to sydney , which we will not bring a car into the city.
Restaurant Tip:
China town so near, food courts are great for Asian people. Fried Chicken at Korean Restaurant at the corner the Dixon and Liverpool is great.

Good room and location, poor staff

We (three people) stayed for three nights. There was a new management and we had some problems. First we had to pay 40 AUD per night for the car park! So that's 120 AUD for three nights!! .
Secondly there was only one Queen bed in the room. I had booked for three people and my voucher said '3 people'. That was 'no problem': I just had to buy an extra bed for 50 AUD per night !!! I refused to pay and finally the 'manager' understood that it was not my fault. So, I didn't had to pay for the extra bed.
There is no free wifi, but for a 'nominal fee' (so they say!) of 20 AUD per hour (!) you can login to the web.
The room itself was great. We had a little kitchen with a dishwasher (!), a washing machine and a dryer.
So beside the staff, it's a great hotel but very expensive internet and carpark.
