This is an airport hotel, right? A room for one night. My flight left at 6am which meant no shuttle bus. It's an airport hotel, for heaven's sake. The shuttle should be 24 hours. No breakfast (it started too late) but no reduction in fee for no breakfast of course.
My advice: find a hotel in the city instead. At least there's something to do instead of strolling around freight depots. The other airport hotels are even worse. Please hurry up and build a world class hotel inside the international airport if Sydney wishes to be taken seriously as an international destination.
Your next question doesn't allow for the possibility of using the hotel to get to the airport and not vice versa.

Not a great hotel, even though close to airport the bars and food were terrible. Room was ok but no heating. There must be better hotels in this area? Won't stay again. Sorry!

Great hotel near Sydney Airport- gorgeous suite

I stayed in the Raffles Suite for 2 nights before my flight overseas. The Stamford is really lovely for a hotel near an airport. I'd stayed at others nearby and they were awful. The service was excellent, but the bellhop staff were overworked as they had to be in 3 places at once. I'd look at that process if I was the manager.
The Suite was gorgeous! After the chaos of the last 3 months, it was perfect for a real chance tomrelax. The main bathroom was the size of the back bedroom in my apt! Wow!
I used room service the entire time. Excellent. Food was great, and staff lovely. OK wine selection.
They have a shuttle to the airpory. You need it, as the airport is a long walk away. You pay, which was a new experience for me with hotel shuttles, but that's OK.
I'd stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat, even if Inwasn't flying and just needed to get away.

If you het the great deal I got on Agoda, try the suites.

Great location to Airport.

as i was travelling fron a domestic flight to a international flight, a one night stay was needed. the location of this hotel to both terminals, plus a great shuttle service, provided exactly what i needed. the restaurant and bar where wonderful too.
Restaurant Tip:
The Seafood Buffet was very good.

Five star is a bit of stretch!

To name this a five-star hotel is something of a stretch of the imagination. The rooms are tired and well in need of a refurbishment and the amenities, including those in the bathroom, are somewhat lacking of five-star standard. I could not even close the curtains properly ... an issue at an airport transit hotel where people need to sleep at odd hours of the day. The staff were not especially friendly on check-in though they were at least reasonably efficient.
If it's your only choice to stay close to teh airport then fine, but I would not recommend this hotel for anythign else.
Hotel Feature Tip:
It can be walked from the domestic terminal if you want to .. but you need t purchase a bus or taxi fare to get to the international terminal.
