Very comfortable beds, clean and fresh and fresh towels were provided when required. Location of the Hotel is excellent and the peace and quietness of the rooms was good. Unfortunately our room 1226 smelt of smoke when we entered the room, which was unpleasant. This is the second time we have stayed at Star City and although it is not something we could afford every time we go to Sydney, we feel very special when we do stay there. The location of the Hotel is excellent and we love to walk into Darling Harbour and the City and also just explore around Star City itself. The rooms are always spacious and the facilities are excellent and clean and fresh. Unfortunately the smell of smoke in our room was a little off putting considering we were on a smoke free floor. We did not want to make a fuss of this and thought after we aired the room it would go away, but unfortunately it remained over our two night stay. All in all it was a lovely visit, my husband enjoys the Casino and the food in the Garden Buffet Restaurant was lovely and fresh and with a wide variety for everyone. The check in staff and the bell boy and the parking valet staff were all very friendly and very efficient, great customer service.
Restaurant Tip : Oscars pub around the corner was a great little escape for dinner as well, to have a beer and an inexpensive but very nice meal.

Near to Darling Harbour and within walking distance to Central (CBD). Excellent and friendly Concierge Service. The hotel room is clean and nice. No complimentary shuttle service to train station and airport. No complimentary breakfast for the room rate I pay and sadly no free internet access.
The Hotel Concierge is friendly and provide excellent service.
We booked a tour the day before but my wife is not feeling well in the early morning (on the day of the tour), so I called the concierge to assist us in cancelling the tour.
The tour operator is not happy that we did a last-minutes cancellation and demands to speak to us directly, however, the concierge denied his request to protect our privacy and prevent unnecessary incident.
Great initiative and customer service!

Very busy sometimes noisy
Elevator takes to long!! The hotel is very close to darling harbour. Easy to walk to all the nice spots. It is unfortunetley also the casino of sydney which makes the hotel a busy place. The ekevators are always very busy!Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes.
Restaurant Tip : a lot of restaurants at booth harbour sides
