This Hotel needs upgrading as the decor is very dated. The rooms need to be updated and the bathrooms are looking grubby.
The Swiss Grand Hotel has the perfect location over looking Bondi beach. We had booked a sea view suite over looking the bay, the view from are balcony was beautiful. But the noise from the bar below on the terrace, was not what we were expecting, It was very busy and very noisy every night,load music playing and people talking and laughing until midnight and later.
This is not what you want when you are trying to relax and go to sleep after a very long journey.
We had paid a lot more for a Sea View.
We are not Happy.

we arrived early like 11.30am, we could still have breakfast as our room was not ready.
there was nothing wrong here
We arrived on sunday morning to beautiful sunshine, and discovered our hotel was only a few yards from the famous Bondi Beach, which is a lovely place, we could go to our room and make a nice cup of tea and nip back to the beach in a few minutes, or have a siesta and return to the beach

Right across the street from Bondi Beach.
I did not receive my confirmation from agoda until the day of late in the afternoon, which did not let me check in until about 5pm.
The Swiss Grand Hotel was one of the best hotels I stayed in Sydney and it was right across the street from the famous Bondi Beach. The suite was very large with a nice front room and a bedroom with balcony and the bathroom had a jet jacuzzi bath. On the roof was a lap pool and jacuzzi with views of the ocean. Within 2 min walking distance you can choose amongst an array of eating options with the choice to eat along the promenade in front of the beach. This was an awesome place overall.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Bondi Beach and great restaurants.
