Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel Sydney Info
550 rooms, all with spectacular views (some of the Sydney Opera House) from this towering building that is close to everything Sydney has to offer.
A more amicable location would be difficult to find as the Circular Quay is merely a half-block from the front entrance and the historical Rocks area as well as the Sydney Harbor Bridge are just a moment's walk away. The rooms are striking; the color choices are bright and make a guest simply feel good about being in their room. The famous Captain Cook Cruises are right out the front door, where patrons can enjoy everything from a coffee cruise to a majestic evening out with a five course dinner while viewing the famous harbor from the sea looking in. Proximity to ferries, walking distance to most tourist highlights
You cannot beat the location of this hotel. We used the ferries extensively as they are by far the best way to get around and this hotel is just minutes away from the wharf. It is also an easy walk to the Opera House, the Rocks, the Bridge, Darling Harbor, and great shopping. The bed was comfy and the linens wonderful. We had to request robes but they were brought up to the room immediately. The bathroom toiletries were basic (shampoo, conditioner and lotion) - it is nice when items like emery boards, cotton puffs, etc. are supplied - those would be a welcome addition. We only ate one meal at the hotel, we ordered dinner one evening to our room, and the food was very good. We did try to have a meal in the pub on Friday night around 10 but this was not available and we were told the pub was closing soon - we thought that was a bit early. Our check-in and check-out were excellent, although I noticed that we just beat the rush the morning we checked out, and a small lineup formed afterward. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
Travel tip : Take the Boutique Tours wine tasting trip up to the Hunter Valley, it is a great day out, and even better if you ask for Jason as your guide - he was a pleasure. Also, the little coffee stand just outside the front driveway of the hotel, serves wonderful coffee and Chai tea, and has great banana bread - enjoy!

Location! My wife uses a wheelchair, and there was reasonably level access from the hotel to Circular Quay with its restaurants and ferries. We found the Sydney Harbour Marriott to a good place to stay for those wanting easy walking access to the Circular Quay and the Opera House.
Broadband Internet access is pricey. Our window was dirty.
The Sydney Harbour Marriott is a 5-star hotel, which means you get first-class bell service into and out of the hotel, a high-quality restaurant, and a well-appointed room. We chose it for its location just a few steps away from the Circular Quay ferries, rail stations, bus stops, and restaurants. For those with mobility concerns, the route from the hotel to Circular Quay is reasonably level and navigable in a wheelchair. Rates seem to vary - if you can get a good rate, I recommend it.
Restaurant Tip : Jackson's on George, one block west on George Street, has excellent bar food at reasonable prices.

Location location Location!!!!
Excellent staff.
Incredibly friendly, professional and polished~esp TIM the Concierge.
GREAT food.
None that I found....and I'm a very frequent traveller. Worldwide
The Marriott Sydney (Pitt Street) could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. As if the excellent staff (in all areas) weren't enough, I don't think there is a better location in Sydney; right ON Circular Quay, on top of the Ferry, Train and Bus terminals and walking distance from EVERYWHERE. There is nothing this concierge doesn't know or can't arrange~and if you'd like to take a snooze to ward off some jet-lag or just rest your weary sightseeing feet a while, your room~with stunning harbour views~ is blissfully silent. And cool. Even when the Aussie summer is enveloping you with 36C of sunshine.
A PERFECT hotel in a Perfect location.
Nightlife Tip : The IVY Poolbar.
A private members club with a waiting list as long as your arm, but TIM the Concierge can sort it for you! Sydneys MOST EXCLUSIVE nightspot and restaurant. If you can get in, you'll be the envy of the sydney glitterati.
Failing that, the views from the Centrepoint buffet dinner are hard to beat. Be prepared for the 'service'....it's abominable.
I guess you're paying for the view.
