NONE

This was our second visit of a month long trip outside of the state...and I cannot say enough good things. Location Ideal to the Rocks and the Opera House...The staff could not have been more helpful with friendliness and suggestions on sites, etc..The roos were well appointed and tasteful. The bathrooms are large and clean..Great views of the surrounding areas.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We enjoyed walking to the Opera House and seeing the wide selections of productions available rather than looking at a list n the hotel.

Definitely the best feature was the location in the city of Sydney..fabulous views of the Opera House!

I was expecting alittle larger room for an Executive Level.

Our one night stay was delightful after a flight. The check-in was easy...very helpful. We were on the 30th floor and had the Executive Room which had a cocktail function going on as we arrived. It just made our arrival feel welcoming. The drink and appetizers were good and it made the transition even smoother. After settling in we went for an evening walk and found our location to be superb. This was a major reason that we selected this hotel...the harbour was enjoyable from our room.

Hotel Feature Tip : On the Executive level the room includes a good breakfast and complimentary drink in the evening with internet access.

Location - in centre of heart. Staff - Friendly (this comment means a lot from someone who is and used to Thai hospitality).

A few. But then major problems: Beds are too soft. (Asked for board but never got). Toilet seat (yep) everytime you get up, cover moves and hits behind / makes startling noise. Especially at night few times I (and my wife) got up with a shock. Infact we were scarred (pun intended) for few nights thereafter and we used to hold the cover when getting up. Might sound funny, but then it is serious, as elderly couple might get a shock that someone has fallen! Limited choice of restaurants / food choices.

generally had good stay. limited choice of restaurants / food. Main restaurant has limited food choice. tried to use the bar for choice of food, but then the marriott card does not recognise bar as restaurant so full discount not applicable. But then that experience was covered with friendly staff.

Location, Location, Location and Great Service.

Internet is expensive

This hotel is in a great location. There is convinence store in front of the hotel, surrounded by bars and several restaurants, a short walk fron Sydney Harbor Bridge, all farries, gardens and The Opera House.

Shopping Tip : Paddington Market on Saturday is awesome.

One of the biggest pros of the Sydney Harbour Marriot Hotel is its location. It is located in the heart of city centre.

I thought that the hotel should provide more toiletries.

It was nice and clean. The room was simple. It was not that great. I stayed at the "City view" room. I thought that the charge for the internet at the room was bit too much.

Proximity to ferries, walking distance to most tourist highlights

Pub closed early

You cannot beat the location of this hotel. We used the ferries extensively as they are by far the best way to get around and this hotel is just minutes away from the wharf. It is also an easy walk to the Opera House, the Rocks, the Bridge, Darling Harbor, and great shopping. The bed was comfy and the linens wonderful. We had to request robes but they were brought up to the room immediately. The bathroom toiletries were basic (shampoo, conditioner and lotion) - it is nice when items like emery boards, cotton puffs, etc. are supplied - those would be a welcome addition. We only ate one meal at the hotel, we ordered dinner one evening to our room, and the food was very good. We did try to have a meal in the pub on Friday night around 10 but this was not available and we were told the pub was closing soon - we thought that was a bit early. Our check-in and check-out were excellent, although I noticed that we just beat the rush the morning we checked out, and a small lineup formed afterward. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Travel tip : Take the Boutique Tours wine tasting trip up to the Hunter Valley, it is a great day out, and even better if you ask for Jason as your guide - he was a pleasure. Also, the little coffee stand just outside the front driveway of the hotel, serves wonderful coffee and Chai tea, and has great banana bread - enjoy!

Location! My wife uses a wheelchair, and there was reasonably level access from the hotel to Circular Quay with its restaurants and ferries. We found the Sydney Harbour Marriott to a good place to stay for those wanting easy walking access to the Circular Quay and the Opera House.

Broadband Internet access is pricey. Our window was dirty.

The Sydney Harbour Marriott is a 5-star hotel, which means you get first-class bell service into and out of the hotel, a high-quality restaurant, and a well-appointed room. We chose it for its location just a few steps away from the Circular Quay ferries, rail stations, bus stops, and restaurants. For those with mobility concerns, the route from the hotel to Circular Quay is reasonably level and navigable in a wheelchair. Rates seem to vary - if you can get a good rate, I recommend it.

Restaurant Tip : Jackson's on George, one block west on George Street, has excellent bar food at reasonable prices.

Location location Location!!!! Excellent staff. Incredibly friendly, professional and polished~esp TIM the Concierge. GREAT food.

None that I found....and I'm a very frequent traveller. Worldwide

The Marriott Sydney (Pitt Street) could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. As if the excellent staff (in all areas) weren't enough, I don't think there is a better location in Sydney; right ON Circular Quay, on top of the Ferry, Train and Bus terminals and walking distance from EVERYWHERE. There is nothing this concierge doesn't know or can't arrange~and if you'd like to take a snooze to ward off some jet-lag or just rest your weary sightseeing feet a while, your room~with stunning harbour views~ is blissfully silent. And cool. Even when the Aussie summer is enveloping you with 36C of sunshine. A PERFECT hotel in a Perfect location.

Nightlife Tip : The IVY Poolbar. A private members club with a waiting list as long as your arm, but TIM the Concierge can sort it for you! Sydneys MOST EXCLUSIVE nightspot and restaurant. If you can get in, you'll be the envy of the sydney glitterati. Failing that, the views from the Centrepoint buffet dinner are hard to beat. Be prepared for the 'service'....it's abominable. I guess you're paying for the view.

Location, Location, Location. This hotel is just steps away from Circular Quay, The Rocks, The Bridge, The Opera House and The Botanical Gardens. It is neat and clean and the staff is awesome.

Internet is way too expensive for what you pay to stay there. They should offer wireless and it should be free. The hot tub was not operational.

Not having been in Australia before I did plenty of research on the areas and felt the best location would be a nice hotel in the circular quay area. I picked the Marriott because they generally have a solid reputation for accommodations. They did not disappoint. The location of this hotel can't be beat. It is steps away from the Harbor and all the favorites, The Bridge, Sydney Opera House, The Rocks and the Botanical Gardens. Every mode of transportation was available, be it train or ferries. The staff was efficient and knowledgeable. They were quick to offer advice on restaurants and give us directions to the Apple Store or nearest mall. The hotel is right in the CBD district with wonderful restaurants and shopping malls. Sydney is a walking City and you could walk for days and days - just be sure to bring good walking shoes. I have nothing but kudos for this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't miss the Skytower. Be sure to do the sky walk. It's worth the money. The view is phenominal. Be sure to go to the Rocks and explore. It is a neat place to shop and eat.
