The Russell Hotel Sydney Info
A boutique-style historical building, built in 1887, the hotel is located very near most of the things people come to Sydney to see. The Royal Botanical Gardens, The famous Circular Quay, the historic Rocks district, and the Sydney Harbour Bridge are all easily accessible from the front entrance of this quaint building. For an interesting day out that will certainly result in a story or two, be sure to check out BridgeClimb, where visitors actually climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge and are rewarded with stunning 360 degree views of the harbor and city. A world of restaurant and dining opportunities awaits just steps from the lobby. An out of the ordinary accommodation, The Russell Hotel is a great find in a prime location.

Charming, cute, and clean!! :) Great location!
The Russell Hotel was wonderful! It was centrally located in The Rocks (Sydney, Australia) to transportation, food, and entertainment. We enjoyed the charming and cute architecture. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. The room rates were also reasonable. The sitting room and roof top garden were an added bonus. Also, the free internet access (15 minutes) was very helpful. Overall, we had a great experience at the Russell Hotel!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : A 5 minute walk to the Opera House, Bay Bridge, and Botanic Gardens.

Nice, very old Boutique hotel in the heart of the Rocks District. Rooms are updated and very nice - you might want to ask to see the room before you check in. Staff are all very nice and work very hard to make everything work for you. The Russell has a lot of charm and is close to the Opera House, Ferries and Botanic Gardens.
A couple of the rooms are very small. If its terribly hot (which is unusual) you may need to get one of the rooms with air conditioning.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take the Ferries - a great way to travel. Take a Harbor ferry accross to Luna Park, eat dinner at Ripples or up the hill at a Thai restaurant and walk beck accross the bridge.
