Would recommend to people who want a clean and comfortable room to stay in while sightseeing. Not fancy, but great value. The staff were always happy to be of service and we took advantage of the luggage storing service. A very pleasant stay!
Restaurant Tip:
'spice i am' is an amazing thai restaurant located a short cab ride away. alternatively, the china town offers amazing choice. darling harbour meal options are poor quality and tourist trappish.

Travelodge Phillip Street Hotel
Central, clean good size room and bathroom,

Hotel is central for cbd, clean and good value for cost. However the bed was the hardest and most uncomfortable we have ever experienced. The pillows were also poor quality.
Staff were helpful and cheerful. The restaurant was inflexible, we just wanted a cooked breakfast and not continental and cooked combined, we were told we would have to wait until 10 am to have this, we went to the cafe 2 doors up the street instead.

the bathroom is huge！just 200m walk to the martin place！but dining is not good！facilities are old but clean！magazine on desk！level 9 is quiet. best place to stay if u wanna go shopping！

Perfect location
We needed one night accommodation in the CBD and this hotel was perfect! Good room for the price we paid. The room and bathroom were clean and a good size and the location was perfect.

Great hotel, fantastic location

just a short walk from the underground train, this hotel located above the nsw leagues club is a great location very close to martin place. close to the shops and business disttict of sydney. very clean and comfortable with a kitchenette and good bathroom. dining room rather poor and food selection not very good for a major city. good value for money, if you get a discount rate on agoda.

Friendly, efficient service. Comfortable room. Widescreen Tv, quiet and private. Very accessible to Sydney CBD, Martin place, food and restaurants. Simple design but clean and relaxing. late check out was 12 mid day with no extra fee. Would depend on the room but it seems you can get a view of the city form all rooms. No security or issues with faulty room cards. Also good facilities, ironing board, microwave etc.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Travelodge Phillip Street Sydney immensely.
From now on, we will seek out a Travelodge when we need accommodation because we feel there is a standard not only in the rooms but also in regard to the staff. We were made feel very welcome.
We acknowledge this is not 5 star accommodation however, my husband and I seek cleanliness, courtesy and tariff to be our main requirements rather than the star rating.
An example of courtesy was when we discovered the light over the basin in the bathroom was broken. We mentioned it briefly on our way out of the Travelodge and when we returned it had been fixed. The broken light wasn't a big issue but to have it rectified so quickly was very impressive.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The location of this Travelodge is terrific. Close to Circular Quay and pick up points for journeys to the Hunter Valley etc.

Convinient and hassle free
Location, near to airport train stop and the rest of the city

Nice and clean room. The bed could have been more comfortable but I did have a decent good night sleep. The bathroom is extremely big and I am not sure if I need that much space for a bathroom. Anyway love the location and it's quite convenient to get around town from the hotel. For solo business traveller, I would recommend this hotel.
Didn't have a chance to try the food in the hotel.. so no comment.
