A nice hotel above an Australian Sports Club. Very friendly staff always willing to help. Good location within easy walking distance of Sydney Opera House, the main shopping area, and the park. Also less than 100m to a rail stop.
Quiet location - clean rooms - and nice decoration.
Nightlife Tip:
Try the Establishment Bar on Georges Street - within walking distance !

the travelodge's location is terrific, close to the city centre and st james. however, the ambience is that of a leagues club.
Travel tip:
On arrival, ask for Internet access advice. None is given in the room's info package.

Convenient and comfortable

Stayed here for three days for a conference. This hotel is handy to the city centre and was far cheaper than the conference venue. The only drawback is no onsite parking although secure parking is only a block away. This area of the city felt quite safe even though we were out till late some evenings.

stayed for three nights. good service at check in, very friendly staff. room very adequate for the price. sydney is a dear place to stay. this is a good lower priced alternative. reasonably priced meals in the leagues club that the hotel sits atop. would stay here again. martin place is only half a block away, great for people watching over a quiet drink.

There was no view from my window. The downstairs bar closed before 11pm on a week night. My bar frige was not stocked and the foyer smelt like alcohol....need I go on?
