The hotel was adequate. The staff was lovely and professional and upgraded me to a superior room, which was great. The room was clean, but quite dated. I also had issue with the gym which was only a few pieces of equipment, and very very hot. The location of the hotel was good and the redeeming feature. The price was also good.
Travel tip:
The restaurant at the hotel was surprisingly good. The food was excellent and the quality high. It was nice to have a restaurant in the hotel which was tasty and at a good price also. I would recommend a visit

Great location but service left much to be desired

Many inconsistencies noted in service and while the check-in staff were lovely, management of the hotel was poor. We were warned that their may be lift delays but of 3 elevators, management decided it was acceptable to work on 2 during the busiest time of day which left guests climbing stairs (in my case 11 flights). There is no question that lifts need to be repaired but when and how to do this without causing guest huge inconvenience was not adequately thought about. Another poor eg of service was returning home to a credit card statement indicating I had be charged to a bottle of wine from the mini bar that we did not use. The duty manager first called conveniently forgot to process the refund asap as he had promised. Two follow up interstate calls finally resulted in a refund - 2 weeks after stay. The overall experience and the follow up to receive the refund has confirmed that I will not stay at this hotel when next in Sydney.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile
Just 5mins to Wynyard Station

We stayed here 5 nites and feel so great. The location is good, it just take few minutes to station. Further more, the staff is so friendly and helpful. If we're back to Sydney, we will book this hotel again.

Great location- near train station and The Rocks

Travelodge Wynyard Hotel is 2 mins' walk from the train station and about 10 mins' walk from The Rocks and Circular Quay, where one can find a variety of eateries and awesome view of Sydney Opera House and MCA. Hotel room is clean and spacious, although the lift does take a while to arrive, especially during the morning peak. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

We recently stayed at this hotel but with a $30.00 AUD per night charge for a parking area that has small parking bays Once you are in the bay that is where you stay as you cant get out of the car. Room service does not deliver to the car that you are stuck in. This really lets the hotel down. The rooms are on the very small side. The staff are friendly. Would not recommend staying there for anything more than a business trip.

My daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights and found the hotel to be close to everything, friendly staff that went out of their way to help us and no major noise from traffic or fellow guests. We would definitely stay there again

it was a very good stay there the staff was friendly and the house keeping was great, the forniture and the beds were great and very comfortable. the high security and the location of the hotel was the best features to me it was close to everything darling harbor take aout 5 min walk to there also the city center was close too
in other word the stay was very good

The Hotel is at a good location, near train station Wynyard, and Hunger Jack in the George street, walk to the Rocks precinct and Harbour Bridge. The rooms are quite small, but are good value for money, staff are friendly.
