This hotel is very covenient to everywhere. Overall is not very good, but not bad.
Travel tip:
free shuttle bus no.555 goes to darling harbour, circular quay, china town ... every 10-15 minutes.

the location of the hotel is great, within mins walk to circular quay and wynward train station. room itself is pretty good to me, bathroom has a tub. i never tried the room service or the dining restaurant at grand floor but out on the street there is a max brenner which sells superb choc fondue, definitely recommended. 19$ for 2 pax. for those who wishes to go tours to blue moutains hunter valleys etc, can try grayline or greatsights, they will pick you up from menzies hotel which is 10mins walk from this hotel. sydney is definitely fun!

The staff was wonderful.
Room was comfortable, clean and a decent size.
The only issue we had was the dinner we had at the restaurant. The food was not that great for the price. The waitress wasn't able to reccomend anything on the menu and after plunking down plates and tiny glasses of water, never returned to see if we needed anything else. We had to get our own water refills and search for someone to get our bill and pay.

the hotel is located next to wynyard station, which is on the airport line. hence, it is easy to get down from the airport, take a train which leaves you at wynyard. the hotel is just next to station exit (<100m). staff is courteous. rooms were nice, clean and good enough for the price.

Have stayed here a number of times and it's consistently fine. Never a problem. Staff are friendly and competent (better than most hotels in Sydney I'm afraid) and keep the place running smoothly. Have always gotten early check-in if rooms are available. Easy walk to Museum train station and Oxford St. Nice view from high floors.

even though in cbd it is expensive. we stayed in so called 'executive room' which was no different apart from being a lot more expensive to a standard room and its location which is towards end of hotel so quieter. front desk service polite but not particularly friendly - seems like you are doing them a favour by staying there rather than other way round. we have stayed four time over the last two years and there is no recognition to repeat guests in any way whatsoever. for our next visit later this year we are going to try a neighbouring hotel.
on our arrival every detail about our booking was incorrect apart from our surname.
we were on 5th level - hallway carpet dirty, stained and decoration old and tired.
positives cleaning staff who were unobtrusive and efficient and our room requests (non smoking plus position) which was met.

Good price, excellent location and comfortable
in the cbd, very close to the harbour and all transport. walking distance to public galleries and museums.

part of a large chain and considerably upgraded from the last time i stayed here roughly 7-8 years ago. location is excellent, with wynyard station almost on the doorstep, providing easy access to and from the airport without worrying about traffic delays. the ramp up to the front door is very useful for lugging heavy suitcases in and out.
rooms on the upper floor have good views over many of the city buildings, as does the very small and just adequate gym.
my room was a good size and the bathroom, though small, was very functional, with good water pressure and no wait for hot water!
i didn't eat most meals here, but the breakfast buffet is very adequate and gluten free bread was available on request.
good price for its location is the main reason i returned to the hotel, as being able to walk to the art gallery, opera house, the rocks, sydney theatre company and the main shopping areas, yet still be near ferries, buses and trains when i need them is just what i require while in sydney.
Restaurant Tip:
nakashima japanese restaurant in cambridge st in the rocks. tiny and hidden away, but reminded me of similar restaurants in suburban tokyo years ago.
