Real disappointed not good enough

We just didnt get any service we expected to get from a four star hotel. Room itself was a bit small, but fine. However, staff members are truly unhelpful. Asked them to heat up something, the answer was "we cant do it". The vending machine in the hotel was not working, then we lost money on it, they just said "you have to call the number yourself". I said Morning to those housekeeping staff every morning, then they really hardly could smiled back.....

The sevice at hotel restaurant was poor.Went to have dinner on sunday night after being seated no one came to take drink orders or put a bottle of water on the table.After waiting for 10-15 minutes and no service we left.The restaurant didnot appear busy just disorganised staff.We returned later and had a drink but the table by the bar was not cleared even though we rquested this four times.I was in Melbourne at a similiar type of hotel 2 weeks previously where the service was impecable
The towels for the shower or bath were small more like a big hand towel certainly could not be wrapped around oneself .I am not sure what men of 90kgs plus would use

although we read reviews about exceptionally small rooms and unfriendly staff we were pleasantly surprised by welcoming staff. admitted rooms are relatively small but it is hardly an issue if you are out most of the time as we did.
restaurant was reasonably price with a decent selection.
definitely would recommend as good value for money.

Without saying, it's 3min walk from wynyard station makes it the best hotel in terms of accessibility. It is also withing walking to Circular Quay and its Weekend the Rocks market. Hotel room is spacious enough for a standard room. As a downside, It's fridge cupboard turns out to have a stale smell. Do bring your own toothpaste and brushes which is not supplied.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Engage Oztrek.com.au for blue mountains day tour at value price of AUD55. Pickup is convenient just at St George bank opposite Wynyard exit to George street 745am .

we stayed 4nights in total at Travelodge Wynyard Hotel, and it was nice.
room was a little bit small and dark but clean and conforatable.
the staff stored our baggage willingly for 2days, because we had 2nights trip to Ayers Rock between our stays in Sydney.
location was near Circlar Quay and Darking Harbour, just 10mins walking to there

The hotel is in a great location in Sydney cbd and close to the Wynyard train station.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Although a room is not large size, it is compact, having all needed facilities and cleaness.
I recommend this hotel because you would get than what you paid.
