Ease of access to all things Sydney, as well as full range of luxurious amenities catering to patrons' relaxation, makes this a comfortable stay in a beautiful part of Sydney.

Standard of rooms - Lack of attention to detail.

Overall I was rather disappointed with the Vibe Hotel in North Sydney. The hotel is part of a chain of hotels that market themselves towards people who like the contemporary look. Business and young leisure travelers. The brochures depict fairly minimalistic, modern hotels. I found the foyer of the hotel to match this, but once you reached the hotel corridors things started to look shabby. The room was smaller than expected, and looked much less modern than the pictures on the web. The window faced another building which was not a massive issue considering the amount of time we were intending spending in the room. However, it did make the room very dark. The overall appearance of the room was shabby. The valance of the bed was ripped. The toilet was giving problems when we arrived and we needed to be reported. The toilet roll holder was almost coming away from it's fitting. When you opened the door into the bathroom, an attic opening would bang with the draft. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and the location of the hotel was excellent for NY's celebrations.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't forget to walk Sydney Harbour Bridge into the city rather than take the train or ferry.
