Staffs are nice and helpful to certain extend. The reception staff are helpful except the internet's problem. The cleansing staff are very good and did their job very well.

Not much information about local buses. Internet charge is very expensive, I spent Aus$30 on internet service.

It is a nice hotel but required some improvement in suporting services.

car parking

the weak? signal of internet or so the customer is told all the tiome

although the hotel is situated at the conveneint place for the people who wants to stay within the city and not exactly in the city. could be approved by providing some basic facilities for the modern times such as internet, and also the right advice and information about the vehicle parking. these little facilities would have made us change our mind to stay few extra days in the hotel.

clean room and bathroom...friendly staff...cross to the city

small rooms.train nose

this hotel is located in a place that makes it easier to find. because its only a short walk from central, it is very easy to be part of the sydney conflict.i found the rooms to be small but then again it was expected because of the low price. the fact that breakfast was included was a real bonus but breakfast was only cereal and no hot food like eggs..

Restaurant Tip : a great asian food is right across from the hotel...taste great and not expensive

Friendly environment. Helpful hotel staffs and tons of useful tourist brochures at the lobby.

The double bedroom seems a little too small with a narrow walkway. There is no 24 hours convenient stores nearby for one who is looking for simple snack in the middle of the night.

The first impression of the hostel is simple, decent and clean. It offers a reasonable rate for budget travelers. 5-10 minutes from Central. Highly recommended.

Self contained ensuite and hotel (washing/drying facility available for traveller on long period of stay); helpful people from the hotel; near to Redfern station; simple breakfast provided (for free) and microwave usage available.

Rather small room; distant from CBD area.

Hotel and its facility are clean for usage. Despite its distant from the busy CBD area (~10-15min walk), it is near to Redfern train station which connects to Central station(5min walk; need to use another route if returning at night as it's rather unsafe). Room is rather small but sufficient for 2 to have a comfortable stay. My partner loves the fact that it has washing/drying facility (that are clean/in good working condition) as we stayed for 5days, allowing us to move on with our trip with fresh clothing.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Wake up early and go to the tourist attraction earlier to enjoy and rest well at night (no choice as not much of activity after 5-6pm)

The breakfast is very good

Near a bad part of town

The hotel was fairly good value for money, especially in an expensive city like Sydney. The facilities were very good and the breakfast was great. It was close enough to the main train station to make getting to the airport easy. The area of the city was a little bad in my opinion so i would be careful at night.

Very nice and helpfull staff

The constant sound from the trains

It was a nice and clean hotel for a very good price. A very small but good breakfast that was included. The staff was very nice and helpful in all situations. The room was very small but tidy. I could warn about the train station just behind the hotel, there was a constant noise from the trains. Overall it was a very good experience for us.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Darling harbour is a very good spot that was in a walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel was in a good location, and very good value.

The rooms were very small and there was a lot of noise from the railway line nearby.

We stayed in this hotel for one night and chose it as it was very good value, near the bus station. The hotel staff were friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, although very small. There was a lot of noise constantly through the night from trains nearby. But for the price you pay for the hotel it is very good value, but probably just for the one night. There was also free brekfast provided which was a bonus.

The room was very clean and located with easy access to trains, buses and shops. The staff friendly and helpful and a nice breakfast.

Only thing was no toilet and washing in room.

We were very surprised when we arrived at the YWCA for the first time to see how big the hotel was and how friendly and helpful the staff were it was the first time we had used a YWCA so we really did not know what to expect so we were plenty surprised, so a really big thank you for making our stay in Sydney so enjoyable.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get a day tripper ticket which you can use on the trains buses and ferry.

If you are able to walk approximately 6 blocks then you can consider this centrally located to major bus and rail stations. We found it very convenient even though my husband has problems walking. Also, it is a room where we felt safe.

The rooms are very small but if you position this as only a place to stay then it is more then agreeable.

Breakfast provided was toast and cereal...adequate for a start. Rooms are not plush and small but quite liveable. Once one accesses the bus terminal or train station everything all major sights are very reachable. We always felt safe walking the streets.

Okay for a very basic hotel accommodation. Breakfast was help yourself continental style included in price. Rooms quite small and stuffy but clean and presentable. All profits go to charitable programs as its owned by YWCA.

Travel tip : If you don't mind a 15-20 minute walk to Chinatown and Paddy's Market (open Thursday to Saturday) plenty of restaurants. Some will solicit your trade on the street. Also the Chinese garden in Darling Harbour is really nice.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights in late February. Overall, I found the quality acceptable although the room was small even for one person. There wasn't enough space in the closet for storage. I was told by a taxi driver that the location of this hotel is not particularly good. Talk to local people to find out more so that you can avoid certain spots in the evening.
