The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was out-dated. Found 2 cockroaches on our first night. We were told that it hadn't been used for some time. The pool needs cleaning - water was murky, so we did not use it. We felt it was in dire need of maintenance/upgrade for the amount of money we paid - it wasn't worth it. Especially after staying at a 4 star hotel in Nadi that offered - modern facilities more services e.g. restaurant, pool, gym, for less then what we paid at the Capricorn in Suva. They did not have a food/dinning a, but sold drinks and nibbles.
But the hotel staff; receptionist, security personnel,laundry & House keeping were of a high quality which is why we continued to stay on. Other-wise we would have checked out sooner than planned.

I have stayed there quite a few times on stopover for business trips, nad for the price the rooms are pleasant esp those with private balcony.
The pool sometimes has been very clean and in use, other times looked abandoned.(but maybe after some cyclone).No wifi but can get internet in the lobby for a price, through their computer. A supermarket and some restaurants outside nearby.
This will not be your holiday destination, just somewhere to land to and from the airport, no sea worth it's salt near here,no views,it's beside the main road into Nadi town. For brochure Fiji, Denarau area in the vicinity of Nadi town is your area, or find some island!

Great location but unclean rooms

The room was fine as our stay was only for two days but the dirty linen on one bed and the door not closing properly, the toilet not flushing properly, creaking bed and dirty utensils. Smiling staff was good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Nice view of the Suva harbour and two minute walk to the city.

Expensive for what the property offered. The shower was terrible and hot water shot out of the tap fixture. The fridge was old and the freezer was broken. Very tired property in need of repair. Only the furniture was nice.
Travel tip:
Go elsewhere.

It was very nice after we had a long trip in the rain to arrive at the Capricorn. It was very close to the bus stop and we could walk to town for all our needs. Markets was also easy reached. Nice to be able to buy milk, cold drinks etc. from vending machine. Crockery and cutlery was provided and a few pots and pans. Nothing was in a great state. The place was clean but could have done with a proper scrub. Nice view of the harbor. When we wanted to book another night, it was much more expensive than over the internet and really not worth it. Our apartment was above the parking area and was very noisy at times. It was worth the money we spend on it that's all.
Restaurant Tip:
There's a huge food-court in one of the new buildings. Lovely bakery on the ground flour. All food we had there was great and big variety.

Spacious Rooms, desperate for renovation

The hotel is well located near downtown, and the rooms are large - we had a two bedroom as I was sharing with my coworker and this was a great deal as opposed to getting two single rooms. The kitchenette was nice as we could cook for ourself, but the hotel is really run down.
Furniture, decor, amenities and basically everything in the hotel needs an update. Staff are nice but I wouldn't recommend this place for business, or definitely not for pleasure. Stay at Tanoa instead.
