Fantastic as we had booked the wrong hotel for our conference but the staff made us feel welcome and we decided to stay rather than change to the Mercure and take a taxi to and from the venue.

I fully enjoyed my stay at the Amora and feel it offers great value for money. The room was well appointed and I personally like a kitchen. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Unwelcoming reception manager, noisy, broken lift

My room was below a permanent tenant who was very noisy, sounded like an elephant running around from morning till late at night. When I checked in on Sunday having not stayed there before I mentioned to the duty Manager that I come to NZ once a month for a week at a time and was there anything he coulddo with pricing or a deal and he said "No".
The washing machine Dryer Combination unit took 5 hours to dry one load of washing. Instructions on how to use where not ver clear. Trying to wrk in a noisy room was enough to put me off staying there again and yet the premises in Rotorua is exceptional.
Hotel Feature Tip:
If you want a good nights sleep stay somewhere else.

I travel to Auckland for work every fortnight and the Amora Hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from my office. The location is excellent for me. It's in a nice quiet street and if staying in one of the higher levels, the views are fantastic!

We have stayed in this hotel many times, and have never been dissappointed. It has always been a good experience. The on-site parking with easy access anytime is a real plus, ie no valet parking required.
