It was very convenient. I called from the airport phone and the driver was there within 15 minutes. The only weird thing is the next morning (although I was only staying for a night), a housekeeper not only knocked on my door twice (the first time was early in the morning, after I had arrived after 1am), each time, after I would say "Hello? Yes?" about 5 times, she actually opened the door! As I was traveling alone, and get nervous about motels open to the outside, I had put my luggage in front of my door. If I hadn't done this, she would have walked right into my room, while I was lying in bed, trying to sleep. The same thing happened again an hour or so later. I think the housekeeping staff should be informed when someone checks out, and shouldn't knock on their door (let alone open it, if they hear someone inside) early in the morning!
This really disturbed me, but otherwise, the hotel was good.

The owners of this motel are very friendly.
Rooms are well serviced daily. Kitchen area includes kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, sink, cutlery, chopping board, bowls, plates, that kind of stuff. They provide tea bags, filter coffee for the plunger, freeze dry coffee, hot chocolate powder, sugar.
Includes free broadband access and sky tv (although it is mostly adverts and content free crap in New Zealand).
Large bed, two very comfortable reclining chairs. Glass top tables.
Free use of the washing machine and dryer.
The airport rides are worth about 60 NZD since a taxi to the airport is 30 NZD.
If I was going to stay in that part of Auckland again then I would book this motel.
Shopping Tip:
The shops in the area are all small corner shop style and are mainly stocked with unhealthy crap.
The restaurants in the area are pretty bad. They are not cheap and the quality is not great. Unfortunately due to its location they can get away with it. There is no competition.
Walking anywhere in this area requires you to take your life into your hands as when they designed the roads pedestrians clearly had not been invented yet!
I put location 2 - but it depends where you want to be. If this is where you need to be then it is an excellent location!

I stayed this hotel for transit. This hotel offered free shuttle service and 80MB wifi connection which makes it great deal. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was relatively new and clean, very spacious. I recommend this place for other transit travelers.
Restaurant Tip:
Some downside is not many shops close by. There is a small shopping complex with a small supermarket, 2 restaurants, a bakery cafe. I used one of the restaurants called The Bar & Baa, and ordered lamb chop. It was huge and pretty good!

Je suis resté une nuit en transit à Auckland et avait choisi ce motel pour passer la nuit.
Points forts:
- Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et toujours prêts à aider et renseigner
- Proximité de l'aéroport (moins de 10 minutes en voiture)
- Shuttle gratuit à l'arrivée et au départ
Points faibles:
- Si vous restez plus d'une demie-journée, je conseille de partir plutôt vers le centre car la zone est quasi désertique d'activités et de restaurants

Entspannung vor dem Abflug
Das Zimmer verfügt über eine eigene Spa Badewanne, worin es sich vor dem Abflug (oder nach der Ankunft)angenehm entspannen lässt. Sehr freundliche Staff, freie Internetbenützung. Pünktlicher Shuttle-Bus.

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe des Flughafens und wird mit einem sehr pünklichen Shuttle Bus versorgt. Obwohl es an der Strasse liegt, ist es relativ ruhig. Die eigene Spa Badewanne ist super zur Entspannung nach der Ankunft oder vor dem Abflug. Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Hotelmitarbeiter. Seltenheitswert in NZ hat der kostenlose Internetzugang. Ich würde dieses Hotel wieder aussuchen. Ein hoteleigenes Restaurant ist leider nicht vorhanden, aber man kann des Frühstück oder eine Pizza durch das Hotel bestellen lassen. Kaffee und Tee sowie Kühlschrank sind vorhanden.
Restaurant Tip:
Ein gutes Restaurant im Hotel Holiday Inn befindet sich 50 m entfert.
