Lovely staff, bit out the way

Amazing staff at reception, very helpful. The rooms are quite small but does all you need and includes tv and kettle. The rooms and hotel are very clean. The only downside was the location, it's slightly too far out of the main area but busses pass often and is walk able in25 minutes max. The price is great for what you get. We stayed in a few in the city and this was one of the best for value.
Nightlife Tip:
Ice bar and everywhere by the waterfront is great with good atmosphere

It is my second time to stay in this backpacker. The Quad room is a little bit small, but very clean and quiet. The staff is enthusiastic and helpful. I left some clothes in other place and post them to City Lodge. They keep the parcel for me until I check in.
The experience of living here is cheerful!

Due to concerts and other events on in the city all Hotels were booked. So I was forced to book a room here.
I was very pleasently suprised how neat and tidy the whole property is. The woman on the front desk was very helpful and friendly as were the other staff I encountered. My superior queen room while smallish was fine for the price about a third of a hotel.

in general, it's a very nice backpacker. have full facilities such as fridge, hot water cattle, tv, even provides complimentary coffee, tea, chocolates, milk. good kit facilities. great location, close to everywhere, only 10min walk to both intercity bus station and airport bus staion, which is very convenient. very friendly staff.

Great hotel with 24hr reception

me and my partner came about this hotel at the last minute. we needed a place for a night in auckland and the staff was helpful in accomodating us. we were placed on a high floor with a room window facing the city. at night before going to bed we had a beautiful view of the city lights which made our stay in auckland a lovely one.the hotel is placed close to the intercity bus which is a free shuttle bus around the city. also within walking distance to main shops
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Dont know what to do? Jump on the inter city bus which takes u around the city route for free. See anything you like..jump off.

nice view, great location, near with queenstown, near with city, walking about 10 minute, near with movies, near with ef school, near with myers park, near with kinder garden, near with restaurant and bar, you can enjoy in city lodge. convinienve store in front of hotel. you can cooking in this hotel.
Shopping Tip:
Cheap chocolate in countdown, near with city, walking about 10 minute, near with EF school, near with movies, restaurant, bar, myer park, fitness centre. To britomart (transprtation centre) about a half hours, and ferry too. Hotel can arrange your trip.

location is great! very close to shopping arcades along queen street, victoria park market and very close to food outlets. auckland university is just a walking distance. kitchen facilities are great, lobby area is big and complete with nice rest area. laundry room is fantastics!
Shopping Tip:
Queen Street is just 3 minutes walking distance away. Plenty of restaurants, kebab outlets and other fast foods. Rebel Outlet, shopping arcades and Victoria Park Market is about 5 minutes walking distance away. Viaduct Quay is at the end of Queen St and only 15mins away. This hotel is a great location for shopping lovers and great location for short term stay especially visitors intend to visit Auckland University.

Budget hotel good for price

I booked this hotel last minute and got really great rates which I am happy with. The hotel wasn't directly in the city center which was nice. It's easy walking distance to the city center and there is a convenience store right across from the hotel where I can get food and groceries easily. It opens late at night and was very convenient. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the walls were very thin and not insulated. I could hear the people in the room next to mine talking pretty late in the night. Also, when people come back late and are talking, I can hear them in the hallway. Other than that, the room was nice. The size of the room and bathroom was good for me and for the value, the hotel was perfect.
