We had a problem in at after we had been out for the night our room door was open and we realised the door was not able to be locked properly. We were moved to another room with no fuss.

Great location, but noisy room
Very close to Vector area, quick easy check in.

Unfortunatly the bedhead was right next to the lift shaft, so could hear lifts all night. Needed to wear earplugs.

Very welcoming reception staff, made for easy check in, the room was clean and in a quiet spot overlooking a small park and the harbour. There was a small baloney from which we could see the Vector Arena which can be accessed easily via a set of steps at the side of the hotel. Breakfast was pretty ordinary even though they had dropped the price to a reasonable $18 instead of the usual $25.50 (that's too much) The gentleman who took our room number for breakfast seemed to be unaware of the reduction and frankly his manner was not too welcoming, as in most hotels these days the food was held at tepid and the bacon was over cooked , not crispy but hard. Not to worry the reception staff made up for it all on check out, very good would go back there, I think that they are only 4 star because they offer 24 hour room service . probably needs a refurb.

the hotel is in the city, walking distance from the main street for shopping.
can be a little quiet after dark.
the room are newly renovated but a little small for my liking.
overall , the stay is pleasant, staff are helpful and breakfast is not bad.
