We felt bit peckish and went to the bar after 10pm. We were seated and given the menu. Then we waited and waited and waited...over 15mins later daughter wanted to go back to room. I had to call another waiter to place my order. Considering the price they charge I was not impressed to be made to wait for a long time. The place was not full there were about twelve people who already had drinks and food. Some people were even getting up to get water themselves when there was visibly a waiter there who was not busy. Apart from this incident the hotel delivered to my expectations.
Clean room; with tea, coffee facilities, iron & hairdryer; toiletries topped up on our 2nd day. Sheets and towels were not changed as hotel has a "green" policy of saving water by not washing linen for a short stay (stayed 2nights) so we had same sheets and towel on our second day.

Friendly staff always with a smile on their face. I got married in this hotel and had our reception here as well. Six years later it's great to see the high standards are well kept.
Ibis has the best location as it's close to everything in Auckland - malls, supermarket, airport, city central.
Apart from my "long wait" experience at the bar I have enjoyed my stay. This rating is for my first night stay which differs from my second night. I will definitely stay here again but will not go to the bar.
