Hotel is smack in the centre of the city. The room is a bit small, but for the price you can't get much better. TV was a bit small for my liking and only had 3 channels poorly tuned but as you'll be out most of the time this doesn't matter.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a trip up the sky tower on a clear day for some wonderful views.

A great price for a room in the heart of Auckland City. A cosy room that would be cramped if any more than one person stayed but it was ideal for myself as a solo traveller. The room was clean and exceeded my expectations for the cheap price that I paid. A short walking distance to everything you could need, easy to get to from the airport on the Airport bus. Very happy with my stay.

the hotel was located at a very convenient location to the pier, bus transport centre and shopping belt. also there is fantastic view of the auckland tower from the room itself and from the balcony you can see the harbour. the room has facilities such as cooking stove, kettle, ironing board. the only setback was the costly internet services as there was no free wi-fi or free wired internet connection for guest use. other than then a truly great hotel for value for money.

the hotel is right in the centre of auckland. by paying a little more than you would for a double room in one of the hostels in town you get your own room, bathroom, fridge, small kitchenette, tv, and openable windows which is an extra bonus!! the only problem at the moment is that there is only one lift working which is a real pain in the neck!! apart from that the staff are great and really helpful.

Good location in the city, with easy access to the Airport shuttle and free inner city link.
Staff was friendly and helpful. But the noise from the nearby club (till 3 - 4 am) could mean loss of sleep.
Nightlife Tip:
Party into the night if you like to socialise.

room rates competitve plus additional though limited cooking facilities like microwave and hot plate

central location with airport express stops, eateries, shopping very close by;
however, the room is very small, like those or even smaller than those in Hong Kong, Tokyu but don't expect to see such tiny rooms in NZ, though it is still comfortable to a not fussy traveller like me;
reception generally friendly but the problem is the only one operating lift which I have to keep my finger crossed that it will not break down as the other lift, I was told has not been functioning for ages and no attempts made to repair;

Very good location. Good price. The lift is terrible, take you at least five mins and only one available, although studio room but no tools provided for the use of kitchen.

Convenient location but small room

Whilst the convenient location was my main reason for choosing this hotel, this was at the expense of staying in a small sized room. You had very little room to move around! Not a big issue if you only spend time in your room for sleeping, like me. A friend told me this used to be a Formule 1 Hotel, which explains the design.
1 of the 2 elevators was out of action for the 6 days I stayed there, which caused long waits for hotel guests. Reception staff could be more customer focused and friendly. Room cleaning was variable over my 6 day stay. Overall excellent value for what you're paying.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Request to stay on the higher floors, to minimise hearing the street noise. Grab a free copy of the daily newspaper in the hotel lobby.
