Extremely Pitiful

Central location
3.3
Our three night stay was atrocious with poor cleanliness and facilities. The toilet seat was broken (split), bed so hard my bones ached, one lift not working causing a 20 minute wait to use the other one. The night club next door is so loud sleep was impossible. The whole experience so poor I will not ever stay here again and strongly recommend other travellers be mindful of their surroundings as I did not feel safe here.

A budget hotel but great location!

location!

This hotel is very conveniently located in the city centre, however if you are after luxuries this is not the hotel for you. The staff are helpful, however they failed to send my lost item back to me. The rooms are small but it is a budget hotel. the balconies are a plus, but again, quite small. The housekeeping was a little random and not always done. I do however recommend it for friends travelling and plan to spend time out of the room for most of the trip. The hot plates for cooking were a great idea, but no utensils or plates or cookware.
Nightlife Tip: clubs are right outside your doorstep.

nice staff, small rooms tht need attention.

location, view, staff

The hotel is in a great location to explore town and is easily accessable to and from the airport. The rooms, if high enough up have a lovely view and each have a small balcony or Juliet balcony. However there is only one lift working and 17 floors so the time you wait around to get to and from your room can get very frustrating as it appears it prioritises by floor level not when it was pressed. Being on the 14th floor ment that we would have to wait for anyone using the lift below us to get out first then hope no one else presses it. Another matter was how tiny the room was, for the price you don't expect much but there is little in regards to floor space. The room is clean on a positive note and has all the amenities required. The bathroom is a good size but the drain kept getting blocked in the shower and I think this was the case for others. The staff are lovely and very helpful. Overall the location is great but you could find better in the same place for a similar price.
Restaurant Tip: Walk to the harbour and on the corner left side is a bar restaurant called Degree Tasteless Bar which serves amazing drinks and a hot plate that tastes amazing.

Good Location, horrible hotel

Anyone going to New Zealand Do not stay in this hotel. There is no reception area, its a snack bar, the room is small. The internet says double room with kitchen facilities, yes it has a stove & a microwave but no crockery or cutlery only 2 mugs & 1 teaspoon. When we had a shower the water stayed 2 inches deep in the bathroom around the toilet & hand basin. The floor was uneaven so the water could not get away & we had to paddle in the water to use the toilet. The reception & elevator was not cleaned & the 6th floor walls, carpet & ceiling was a depressing grey.
Hotel Feature Tip: Do not stay there

Reasonable room rate. Room is cealsn and facilities are not bad. Good access to major tourist points in Auckland city centre by walk.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: I recommend yacht cruises in Auckland Harbor. The View of Auckland down town from the sea is so beautiful

i didn't expect the rooms to be so small but i got use to it and i made the most of it. the television in my room didn't have enough channels, like a channel 3. unlike my brother's room he had the prime channel, which i didn't. my balcony outside was a very awful to look out at because it had about 80 tobacco butts and a feat odour powder outside my balcony. i enjoyed the fact that it was close to everything and so it wasn't a long walk according to our plans, like having dinner. one bad thing that i would have to say about the hotel is the phone manner. it sounded like i had to hurry up and that they had other things to do. but once i got to the hotel, the staff were actually very friendly and welcoming.
Restaurant Tip: You can book a dinner for example at the Princess Wharf, which my brother and I did, which wasn't too far. There's also lots of other places nearby where you can have dinner or lunch, like Burger king that is really close to the hotel.

Great central city location

A very basic hotel with very small basic rooms but at a very low price and in a great central location to downtown Auckland. Great if you are just looking for a cheap clean place to sleep at night.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: close to Viaduct Basin & Wynyard Quarter
