great location but small room

Convenient because located in the heart of the city
7.7
great location but small room. It's good to have small kitchen with microwave, stove.. The toilet was smell bad :( Unfortunately the escalator was out of order on the day we stayed. We had to walk from the 1st floor to 4th floor :(( So the hotel offered us to stay at Mercure Hotel instead for our last night. That would make us so happy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip: The hotel is located closed to Queen Street which is easy to do shopping and sightseeing around the city.

Terrible hotel with bad facilities

The only pro was that the price was cheaper than other hotels
3.3
I was very disappointed with what we got for our money. The room was exceptionally small and uncomfortable. The TV was old and small and had bad reception. The elevators were broken and for most of the 7 days that we stayed at the hotel we had to use the stairs to get to our room which was on the 12th floor. On certain days we had to call reception at around 5pm to remind them that our room had still not been serviced for the day. Then lastly we had a knock on our door at 9:45am the day we were checking out to remind us to leave by 10:00am.

Better off in a tent

Nice staff

Having booked to stay a night due to a business function (i live an hours drive from the city) I arrived at the hotel only to find both elevators were out of order and not due to be repaired until the following day. My room being on the fourteenth floor i was offered a twin room on the third which for obvious reasons i grudgingly accepted. The room was tiny (verging on a closet) Both single beds linen had small holes/tears. The television (tiny) was faulty to the point of unwatchable and the remote when i found it (it was placed under the bed for my convenience) didn't work. The stereo speakers were stained with large splotches of god knows what. The shower curtain was torn in parts and due to the size of the bathroom and state of the curtain it was impossible to have a shower without drenching the toilet/entire room (Oh and the drain in the shower was so slow draining the water welled up around the base of the toilet) The main kitchen faucet was loose, the walls scuffed and marked and there was a very real feeling of uncleanliness about the place. In a nutshell it wasn't great, in fact it wasn't even verging on average.

Centrally located hot spot

Central location and freindly staff
5.3
Unfortunately the hotel was undergoing building work and also the elevators had broken down and so I had to walk up many flights of stairs to small and rather cramped room. During the night the noise from party-goers at the bars nearby kept me awake, but that maybe is the price you pay for a very central location. The staff were patient and helpful throughout all this turmoil however.
Restaurant Tip: Head over to the Parnell district to find a great array of up market eateries and a lively nightlife scene.

Great city budget hotel

Funky lobby, small cosy rooms, not too many rooms on the same floor
7.7
Lobby is quite funky, there is a bar and reception all in one. There are laundry facilities at the rear of the ground floor which is handy. The rooms are small, but have some cooking facilities (stove, sink, kettle). The bathroom is small but fine for 2 people. Tidy room, clean bed, and it wasn't loud despite being in a clubbing area.
Nightlife Tip: Good place to stay if you're going clubbing downtown, it is close to the clubs.

It is really an amazing experience. I love to recommend it to you. But the lift is slow. You need patience
Restaurant Tip: Chinese restaurants downstairs. cool~~~

Small rooms with good functions

good location

i travelled with my friend, and i introduced her this hotal. she likes it after one night lodging. although the room is small, it has all of functions which a hotel should provide, such as washing room, small kitchen, tv and so on. there is a cafe shop in the hall with coffee, muffins. at the same time, the hotle is very close to queen street. there is a supermarket outside the hotel, which is convenient for travelers to buy some food and water as well as living goods.
Nightlife Tip: Travelers can choose to watch a movie in Event cinema at night in order to have a complete relaxation after an exhausted travelling day.

Great location but small rooms

Great location, close to shops

the room is very small and same as the bathroom. the bed is too soft and uncomfy. there are 2 elevators but one is out of service. the only one lift left is too slow.

Great location. Rooms clean and modern.

Great location. Well-priced. Modern and clean
8.3
Very happy with my room. Ideal for a single traveller. One one lift was working which meant either: a) I'd have to wait a while for it to come b) When it did come, a lot of people were in it. Cafe could have a better selection of foods...

Great Location

Location
6.7
Location and Price, these are the 2 main points of this hotel. Rooms very small, a lot could be done with this hotel by Accor - they really need to take some notice, it is really just 1 step above backpacker. The room was clean. TV was an old 34cm square box that had very fuzzy channels, only 1 lift in operation, so be prepared for a long wait. Night staff friendlier than the day staff.
Hotel Feature Tip: Great location, can walk to everything in Auckland.
