Excellent location. First class service.

upper floor rooms have the best views, particularly on the bay side. breakfast was great. they took good care of my refrigerated medicines over the time of several stays.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Airport express bus stops one block from the hotel.

great locations and front line service provider at counter provided great customer service which should be praised. however based on the price for one room we are paying for we think if there is buffet breakfast included, that would be best value for both travellers and hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Walk to the port bay where marine museum is located at, will get to see a lot of restaurants selling fresh seafood with free wireless access. Great view for sunset, relaxing at the bay and having wonderful dinner over there. Most unforgetable view in Auckland

Great location right in the city centre, close to the waterfront

overall i enjoyed my stay at the mercure. my room was on the upper floors and whilst it was a little small for my tastes it was clean, well serviced and had ok views from the windows. it's convenient location was the most important thing to me. i didn't try the in house restaurant, but overheard good comments about it from other guests who recommended me to try it.

possibly the best and the most convenient location for Auckland sightseeing. the building is a bit run-down and there was this awful noice of draft coming in the room all day/night. decent service staff but they should definitely have more receptionists for the busy hours.

location wise you can't do much better than this. it's a bit tired but rooms sizes are ample and price is ok. parking is per night! most expensive we've found!
