Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

Good proximity to all aspects of city. Parking available (at cost) in basement. Hotel rooms a little jaded but still serviceable. Staff efficient. We were luckily at end of corridor.
Shopping Tip:
Step outside the door and walk down the hill for shopping in centre of Auckland city. The walk back up the hill can tire you.

Reliable hotel chain
Good reliable hotel hospitality and service

Worldwide, the Hyatt hotels offer a solid reliable service - no nasty surprises.
With special rates through Agoda, stays at the Auckland Hyatt become reasonable however I wouldn't pay higher rates for this hotel. The outside appearnace of the hotel is very ordinary. Inside the service is good if not a little clinical, there are no stand-out features at this hotel but in the city centre it provides all that is required for a short term stay. I would recommend it if you get reasonable rates.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Not too far from the central sightseeing and attractions however walking back up the hill when you are tired is not fun. Book on a sightseeing tour and ask the tour bus to drop you back at the hotel. Centrally located for all tours.

This hotel should be only 2 stars:
1. Staff very bad.
2. Location in the top of the street and far from the city center.
3. Price is very high.
4. The room furnitur is pooring and not equal to be 5 stars?????????????.
5. In general, hotel is very bad quality in every thing.
Travel tip:

Great location, Friendly service
Good location for exploring town centre (all within walking distance); Close to Parnell (great for brunch); Spa

We were upgraded to a Suite as the hotel was not fully booked over the weekend. The furnishing and room were a little dated for a standard Hyatt, but we enjoyed staying at this hotel nonetheless. The bed was really comfortable which is really important for us. Room service selection and quality is so-so.
Downside: The room was not cleaned thoroughly - the sofa actually had crumbs on it when we checked in.

The Hyatt in Auckland is conveniently located within 10 minutes walking from 'Queens Street' which is the main shopping street. Be prepared for a rather hilly walk back to the hotel. The room are a bit tired however comfortable. The buffet breakfast is good although a bit expensive (±NZD25 for the 'cold' continental). The second specialty coffee (e.g. espresso) will cost you extra as well. Altogether a positive experience; i may come back next time.

The Hyatt Regency in Auckland
Very central to the city - within walking distance of Queen Street and the viaduct basin.
Large, airy rooms with excellent views of Auckland city.
Very friendly, helpfull staff in all areas of the hotel.

The beds were extremely comfortable. The location is very quiet although in the centre of the city.
Check in was excellent - although our booking company had not sent the details to the hotel, the receptionsist did not raise the issue with me - she simply found me a room and checked me in.
All of the staff at the hotel are extremely pprofessional in how they talk and work with guests. Nothing is a problem and they go out of their way to ensure your stay is a very pleasant, enjoyable one.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is a beautiful park opposite the hotel that has sweeping lawns and seating - ideal for reading the paper or a book oe just people gazing.

Hyatt Regency - Auckland
Staff were really friendly and super-helpful from front desk, to concierge and the delightful cleaning lady. The personal touch made it much nicer to stay there.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt and will stay again. The staff were great, the room was comfortable and very clean and well appointed.
